STATUS OF LIFELINES 1. AFFECTED ROADS REGION IV-B As of 8:00 PM, 07 January 2013, the Palawan Circumferential Road (Pangaligan-Tagbita Section) in Rizal, Palawan is not passable to all types of vehicles due to fallen trees and debris as a result of a landslide. III. ACTIONS TAKEN EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE: 1. Pangobilian, Brookes Point PCG -Auxiliary Dumaguete led the search and rescue of all M/V Zamboanga Ferry passengers and ship crew using the life raft CGD Eastern Visayas conducted clean-up/ recovery operation on the marked area using disk skimmer, scooping gears and foams Conducted continuous monitoring on the sunken vessel DSWD DWSD IV-B • Alerted all Social Welfare and Development Team Staff and Quick Response Team in their respective provinces to monitor the situation and have prepositioned available stockpile in provincial warehouses for possible augmentation • Served undetermined evacuation centers with 100 families/ 500 perons, 1 barangay in the municipality of Batazara PNP PNP, PA Volunteers Groups/Organizations helped in the conduct of search and rescue of the affected families PRO IV-B • disseminated weather bulletin to all lower units and advised to be on alert for possible effects of TS AURING • deployed PNP personnel in the affected barangays to monitor and assist in the clearing operations DPWH DPWH IV-B • Maintenance crew conducted clearing and removal of fallen trees along national roads DOH HEMS-OPCEN • Informed CHD I, II, CAR, Northern Mindanao (X), CARAGA regarding the weather situation in their respective areas CHD IV- B • Code White Alert Status re implemented in CHD proper and in different Provincial Health Team Offices • Emergency medicine and supplies are prepositioned in the different Provincial Health Team Offices • Prepared replenishment of emergency medicines and supply for immediate transport if needed • Provincial Health Team Offices are enjoined to coordinate closely with their respective PDRRMCs • CHD Extension Office prepared assorted drugs amounting to Php 26,524.00 • Prepositioned oral rehydration salt amounting to Php 25,340.00 to be distributed to the affected municipalities • Feeds back and validated the vehicular accident in Palawan 2. REGIONAL PREPAREDNESS MEASURES RDRRMCs IV-B, V, VII, VIII, IX, X, ARMM and CARAGA disseminated weather and flood bulletins and gale warnings to all concerned local DRRMCs, RDRRMC member agencies, the tri media thru facsimile and SMS as well as to several fishermen associations. BDRRMO Pantian conducted evacuation to all families affected by flooding. Provided 200 sacks of rice to the Province of Palawan to be used for relief activities RDRRMC V Coordinated with PDRRMCs re weather situation in AORs Continuously monitored and closely coordinated with LDRRMCs for any reports on related incidents in respective AORs RDRRMC VIII RDRRMC8 member-agencies and concerned LDRRMCs are advised to submit report on actions taken thereof RDRRMC8 member-agencies monitored watercourses likely to be affected Continuously monitored the weather outlook CDRRMO of Tacloban City response teams and private rescue groups were on standyby and ready for deployment.
