HOLLY BACK IN SAVE SADDLE--Greg Holland allowed a solo homer to open the ninth on Monday night, but then retired the next three Dodgers he faced, including a pair of strikeouts, to record his American League leading 22nd save of the year...the home run he surrendered last night to Adrian Gonzalez marked the first time in career, spanning 227 appearances, that he’s allowed a roundtripper in consecutive appearances...the two runs he surrendered on June 20 in a loss to Seattle marked the first time he’s given up multiple tallies in a relief appearance since April 6, 2013, in a loss at Philadelphia, a span of 95 appearances between multi-run stints...a first time All-Star in 2013, Holland has made good on 62 of his last 64 (96.8%) since May 30 of last season, the second-highest percentage among closers with at least 40 opportunities in that span...only Huston Street (97.7%), who has converted 42 of his last 43, has a higher percentage...since that date, Greg has six more saves than any other pitcher in baseball (Craig Kimbrel - 56) and has allowed just 11 earned runs in 80.2 innings for a 1.23 ERA. NED THIRD ON KC WIN LIST--The 16th full-time in franchise history, Ned Yost has a 324-373 record since he was named to his position on May 13, 2010, passing Tony Muser for sole possession of third on KC’s all-time wins list...he is 80 wins behind Royals Hall of Famer (404), for second in club history...
