After the early competition, several of the Javelinas had posted the best marks in the Lone Star Conference going into last weekend’s meets.. Ayman Zahafi, freshman from Casablanca, Morocco, had the best time in the 800-meter run (1:53.91) and Ricardo Medrano led in the 3000- meter run (8:49.97). The men’s 1600-meter relay team had a best time of 3:24.51. Members of the team are Johnathan Harper, sophomore from Lorena; Zahafi; Angel Davila, freshman from Laredo (Martin), and Ray Borjon, sophomore from Kingsville (Academy).
