*Bob Bostwick lives (last time we checked) in Spokane, but works for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe operations in Idaho.

**Unusual cases that push the envelope. Zuzel left Idaho media to work at the Vancouver, Washington Columbian newspaper, but returned in 2003 to work for Boise Mayor Dave Bieter. After his stint at the Twin Falls Times News, Niels Nokkentved worked at newspaper in Olympia, Washington, before returning to Idaho. Also, Bob Cooper left Idaho to work for KING-TV in , then returned to Idaho to work for Lottery Commission. Al Bunch and Ann Kirkwood left Idaho after their journalist jobs in the Gem State to run a weekly newspaper in Alaska, then returned to Boise, where they work outside the news media.

***Dey worked at the Statesman, left and then returned – a very unusual (though not completely unprecedented) progression at any Idaho newspaper. Another such case, as a correspondent reminds us: “Brenda Baumgartner left KIFI-TV to work in communications for Regional Medical Center and now co-anchors for KPVI-TV.”

****Duncan may be the only case on the list of someone who left the news media and most recently has returned to it, as news director for Boise State Radio.

Some of these who left the state from news media positions in the last two to three and are still active – that we know about . . .
