When Al Burke was hired to be PD of WRFYin the summer of 1991, the station was pulling a 13 share which, to be blunt, was unacceptable. It was their low- est ratings in memory. So, Burke "turned it around, "as it were. Y102 leaped to 17.4 in their next book and most recently, broke the 20 bar- rier for only the second time in its history. What's more, they generated their highest 25-54 numbers ever -a stunning 27.1.
