Ladder sheets are posted at the Tech Building & on ladder signs in the laddering areas, all classes are “Self Laddered”. Each racer is responsible to find their competitor and be ready to race. All eliminations are run on a "round-robin" basis after third round, means that winning racers must return immediately to the tech lanes to be laddered or proceed directly to staging for the next round of competition. Subsequent rounds of eliminations will begin 15 MINUTES after the last pair of the previous round crossed the finish line. If you are not prepared, you will forfeit the race. END OF TRACK If you are experiencing stopping problems, GO STRAIGHT INTO THE SAND TRAP. EXPRESS TECH Available to registered racers only. Must present vehicle for technical inspection at initial event and receive express sticker. Tech will indicate proper express lane during events. FINISH LINE Drive past the finish line, LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE IN GEAR and brake to a stop. Turn left at the end of the track. Get off the track quickly. Be alert when exiting the racing surface in the event your competitor experiences a problem and needs to proceed straight into the sand trap. Do not cut off your opponent when exiting the track. Stay in your lane until you turn off track. When exiting the track the left lane driver has the right of way. Do not unbuckle seat belt/remove safety gear until you reach the Time Slip Booth. Drive on correct side of the road. No stopping. Use extreme caution at all times, especially at night! SCALES The second building after exiting track is the scales. Certain classes require being weighed. Slowly pull forward until an Official prompts you to stop. The weight will be displayed on the digital board. TRUCKS/SUVS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON SCALES. STAGING When bottom half of the blue circle has been lit (stage), prepare for the three amber LED bulbs to count down to the green light. Courtesy Staging (allowing competitor to pre-stage, prior to staging) is in effect in all Pro Tree classes. A reasonable amount of time will be permitted for drivers to stage. The time limit will be determined at the sole and absolute discretion of the Official Starter. When both drivers pre-stage and one driver stages, the Autostart system is activated and the second driver has a preset time to stage. If not staged within this set time, the second driver will be disqualified and receive a red-light. STAGING LANES Come to the lanes only when your class and assigned lanes are called, unless during round robin rounds. When in staging lanes be ready to race - helmet on, seat belt fastened and windows up. Once you enter the staging lanes, do not switch lanes, and stay with your vehicle. TRACK PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM/FM STATION Bandimere Speedway broadcasts the Public Address (PA) System simultaneously over the radio on FM 90.7. Tune your radio to the station for information and call to the lanes. TECH INSPECTION Please read all racer information given at the racer gate before proceeding to Tech Inspection. After filling out tech card, proceed with vehicle to Tech Inspection, located on the west side of staging lanes. DO NOT come to tech until tech card is filled out completely and drivers license with you. If a tech card is not filled out, you will be asked to return to the pit area to fill it out. A tech inspector will check vehicle, give you a wristband/punch card and put a number on your vehicle. Have hoods open and all safety gear laid out for inspection. Tech Building also offers Write-On products for dial-ins along with helmet and jacket rentals, CO2 and Nitrous refills, and helmet sales. TICKET/TIME TRIAL PUNCH CARD Your time trial punch card or tabbed wristband is your ticket. DO NOT LOSE your punch card/ wristband, as this is your rain check in case of rain-out. Keep your punch card/wristband accessible as you will need to present it to the staging lane officials before each run. TIME SLIP Pick up your time slip at the Time Slip Booth. It includes reaction time (.000 is perfect), 60’, 330’, 660’, 1000’, and 1320’ elapsed times and 660‘ and 1320’ mph numbers. The time slip also gives your competitor’s information and indicates the winner in eliminations (MOV = "Margin Of Victory"). TROPHIES/WINNINGS Trophies will be given out at either the Time Slip Booth or Tech Building. All monetary winnings will be mailed on Monday following the event. Bandimere Speedway will send 1099 forms to those racers with winnings of $600 or more per year. Reporting below $600 is the responsibility of racer. RACE PROCEDURES WARM-UPS It is mandatory that a driver be seated in the car in the normal driving position any time the engine is , unless the coupler or driveline is removed from the vehicle. Leashes cannot exceed 6 feet. You must clean up after pets in pit area/back return road, or the racer may lose racing privileges. Bring pets at your own risk. No pets near the starting line. BROKE BEFORE FIRST ROUND If your race vehicle breaks before first round, it is your responsibility as the racer to go to the Tech Building and sign a "Broke Before First Round" sheet in order to receive first round loser points. Points stay with driver or team, not the car. No refund will be given. BYES Bye runs will be awarded to racers by random draw in non-laddered rounds. A racer can only receive one awarded bye in non-laddered rounds until all available racers have received a bye. COMPETITION NUMBER Competition Numbers need to be 6” high x 1 1/2” wide, with class designation 3” high, 1” wide. Crew member vehicles are encouraged to park in spectator parking lots, but may pay a $15 non-refundable parking fee at most events to enter the pit area if they do not have an appropriate hang tag for that event. Vehicles parked in another racer’s pit area or blocking access to racer pit areas or Bandimere Speedway facilities will need to be moved or will be towed from the premises at the owner’s expense. CROSS TALK If class allows Cross Talk, the top amber bulb on the Tree will flash on in both lanes at the same time, then continue in the slower vehicle lane. The bulb will remain on for the quicker vehicle, then count down, as normal. If you DO NOT wish to use Cross Talk in your lane when you are the quicker vehicle, place an ‘N’ behind your dial to deactivate. It is the driver’s responsibility to watch for the ‘-’ (minus sign) in front of the dial-in on the scoreboard indicating Cross Talk is OFF. No re-runs, as the final responsibility is that of the racer to check the scoreboard for Cross Talk request. Cross Talk applies only to Super Pro, Trophy/Jackpot, Fast 16, Quick 16, and Fineline Series - or classes at specialty events identified as Cross Talk classes. DEAD-ON DIAL This is when a racer runs their dial-in with a zero and wins the round. Awards will be given out to registered racers in any class at the Tech Building. No bonus points awarded. All pit vehicles MUST have racer’s number and be registered at the track. No number/registration = vehicle impound/confiscation. TEAM DRIVERS Team Drivers must register as a team before they start to race in a series. To add a "B" driver is the same price as a primary driver registration for that class. Team drivers must be designated on the tech card and the vehicle, if they are the “B” driver. The “B” Driver cannot register or compete in the same class individually. Maximum of three drivers may register for any single team. TOW VEHICLES Tow Vehicles are allowed in Fast 16, Quick 16, Fineline Series, Super Pro, Super Comp, Stick Shift, and Jr. Dragster only and must have a competition number on tow vehicle. Super Pro, Fast 16, Quick 16 and Fineline Series are the only classes permitted to use a full-size tow vehicle. TRUSTART Bandimere Speedway utilizes TruStart in all series and events that feature Full-Tree handicap start. In a handicapped race where both drivers go red, TruStart will give the win to the racer who red lights by the lesser amount. The worst red-light loses, regardless if a driver leaves first or last.
