January 2000 – Pyro & Ballyhoo Edition GAMEPLAY SUGGESTIONS January 2000 – Pyro & Ballyhoo Edition TEW 2013 Mod Notes: I did my best to make sure all of the rosters, at least on-screen talent wise are all correct for the WWF, WCW and ECW. WCW in particular I even included the lineup of The Nitro Girls – giving the option to run angles with them (sex appeal based angles give a good easy rating). If you look through the data and think of anyone you can't find or need let me know and I can put together some data for you to import into the mod. If you need a good site to go back and read December 1999's results and give you a good idea where January picks up at – www.ddtdigest.com is a great site that even includes some screen caps. (There is humorous/personal opinions in the write ups) Here are the 1999 results: http://ddtdigest.com/updates/home1999.htm GAMEPLAY SUGGESTIONS When setting up the game for the project I'd recommend the following. Turn off all of the game areas except for the US Create a (1) Player Game Choose Vince Russo as your user character Set Reputation to Greatest Under “User Talents” choose preset type “Creative Leader” or “Ideas Man” Under “Preferences,” uncheck Fog of War, uncheck Owner Goals, uncheck Perfect Show Theory, uncheck penalties for repetitive booking (this will give you more freedom in booking) Choose WCW and Select (Owner) – this will prevent the company from firing you, or having weird changes of ownership during a game. DEVELOPMENTAL AND POWER PLANT TALENTS NWA Wildside is set up pretty much for use as a “Developmental” organization similar to how WWE has used NXT/OVW/FCW. While not exactly historically accurate, they did have sort of a working relationship, and it gives a good place in the game to hold young talents who hadn't made their official debuts or guys who are waiting for another shot at TV. Here is the list of talent waiting in Wildside under developmental deals. Some of the Power Plant guys had been competing on the WCW Saturday Night show – so if you'd like to book that show with them just call them up. 4x4 (Previously of the No Limit Soldiers, hadn't yet returned as Cassius of Harlem Heat 2000) Alan Funk/Kwee Wee (had been competing on Saturday Night as Alan Funk) April Hunter (hired as one of the NWO Girls, hadn't yet debuted on screen) Big T/Ahmed Johnson (recently signed, hadn't yet debuted on screen as Big T of Harlem Heat 2000) Chuck Palumbo (had been competing on Saturday Night under the names Jungle Jim and Chuck Palumbo) Jamie Knoble (hadn't debuted on screen yet) Jeremy Lopez (hadn't debuted on screen yet) Kid Romeo (had been competing on Saturday Night) Mark Jindrak (had been competing on Saturday Night) Midajah (hired as one of the NWO Girls, hadn't yet debuted on screen) Mike Sanders (had been competing on Saturday Night) Pamela Paulshock (hired as one of the NWO Girls, hadn't yet debuted on screen) Rick Cornell/Reno (had been competing on Saturday Night as Rick Cornell) Shakira (hired as one of the NWO Girls, hadn't yet debuted on screen) Shark Boy (had been competing on Saturday Night) Skip Over/Elix Skipper (had been competing on Saturday Night) Sonny Siaki (had been competing on Saturday Night) Tylene Buck/Major Gunns (hired as one of the NWO Girls, hadn't yet debuted on screen) Yun Yang (hadn't yet debuted on screen) If you need any help with anything feel free to ask. Hope you enjoy the mod..

Wrestling Observer Newsletter February 24, 1992 A few weeks ago I started hearing speculation about the significant lost revenue from those avenues. A potential sprint possible demise of Hulk Hogan and even the potential demise race by sponsors in the wrong direction and domino effect of of Titan Sports. While in a worst-case scenario of what could television stations which would cause a lessening of exposure happen, one couldn't completely rule that out as a possibility. would indirectly lead to a major effect on live attendance and all But it was maybe a 200-to-one longshot, at best. Most of this other revenue sources. At the same time, a promoter like Don talk was incredibly premature and so unlikely at the time that it King, who in comparison makes Vince McMahon seem like a didn't seem to be worth serious discussion. saint, has survived and prospered even though most Americans have an idea of what kind of a person he really is. People will It's still premature. It's still unlikely. But it's also worth serious pay money to see an entertainment/sport even if the owner has discussion. Make no mistake about it. Friday night, if it were not a shady rep forever because they are paying to see the for some incredible luck, the Titan empire may have been in a performers. But boxing isn't marketed as a kids show and aired race to avoid crumbling before Wrestlemania. Even with the in syndication primarily on Saturday mornings, so parts of that incredible luck, it may be too late for Titan to inevitably avoid analogy doesn't hold up.

  • Here When It’S Put Online Is More up to Date Than If We Were Like Other Mags That Unavoidably Have to Go to the Printers a Couple of Weeks Before Getting in the Shops
Page 2 Welcome to the first ever edition of Piledriver Online. Some of you will already be familiar with this publication as it has previously been available at shows and on subscription but now it has a new home on the internet in full colour and I sincerely hope you all enjoy this debut edition. So what’s different about Piledriver Online? Well, using this format one main difference is that the information here when it’s put online is more up to date than if we were like other mags that unavoidably have to go to the printers a couple of weeks before getting in the shops. We also have more pages and give plenty of coverage to UK wrestling, have more news coverage, more interviews and a look back at the history of professional wrestling home and abroad. Oh and of course it’s free to read! We will soon be launching Piledriver Plus and that will give you more news, competitions and features that will not appear in the main magazine all for just ten pounds a year (current subscribers need not apply). More about that at www.pildedriver-online.co.uk soon, oh and don’t forget to join our forums and if you’re interested in advertising with us at incredibly cheap rates and in full colour just go to our website for more details. We’re just weeks away from Wrestlemania now and the card is gradually taking shape, in fact the two main title matches were confirmed even before ‘No Way Out’ took place on February 18th which isn’t always the case as that PPV usually has a match to determine who gets a title shot at Wrestlemania and it’s not that long ago since the WWE title even changed hands at that PPV when Eddie Guerrero beat Brock Lesnar.

I came up with the idea for the almanac back in 2004, the original idea was to have a yearly one on Explosive Pro Wrestling, but that idea fell by the wayside. The idea for the almanac returned in 2009, when I started Westside Pro Wrestling and was trying to do some research on the history of Pro Wrestling in Perth and pretty much came up with very little pre-Explosive Coastal Wrestling. I have included as much history on the scene as I could, hopefully there may be some information you find interesting, and maybe some you never knew about. This project has been a huge undertaking and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the West Australian Pro Wrestling community from the promotions, to the talent, to the photographers I would like to give special thanks to Explosive Pro Wrestling, New Horizon Pro Wrestling, Southern Hemisphere Wrestling Alliance, Amanda, Jarod, Jenna, Liam, ShaunSean Promotions, Thomas and all the talent local, interstate and international who helped me out with their stats.
