Kuznetsova2* 1Association of National Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan [email protected] 2Ulyanov State Pedagogical University, Ulyanovsk, Russia ORCID: 0000-0002-5558-474X, [email protected]* Abstract: Association of National Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the only organization which deals with the development of traditional sports, organizing of republican, international competitions in ethnosport games. The development of national games in the Republic of Kazakhstan started back in 1991. Since the independence of the country, the government always supports when it comes to national sports games. Methods. Scientific and scientific-methodical literature analysis and systematization, progressive pedagogical experience summarizing, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. The Association includes over 15 federations of national sports games. Since 1996, the local athletes have been participated in various world national games, festivals and taken a significant number of medal places. Since 2013, international competitions in national sports have been conducted at the initiative of the Association of National Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. “Samruk-Kazyna” National Welfare Fund” Joint Stock Company and “Samruk-Kazyna Trust” Development Fund of Social Projects render sponsorship on a regular basis at holding national sports games. In 2018, Association of National Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan membered to the World Ethnosport Confederation (Turkey). Conclusion. There are numerous types of national sports games played in Kazakhstan. Below, it is provided some short information about certain games common to the Turkic nations who live in the Central and Western Asia. For the last few years, Kazakhstan has organized a World Championship, Championships of Asia as well as several international tournaments and festivals for the following sports. Such games as Kokpar, Audaryspak, Tenge ilu, Zhamby atu, Falconry, Baiga, Asyk atu, Togyzkumalak and their rules are presented in the article. Features of such a Centre: Plenty of accessible parking, and accessible by public transport Wheelchair access and disabled toilets Multiple playing rooms for the different disciplines Good soundproofing, lighting, heating Catering facilities incorporated, so people can gather before or after events to socialise over a meal or a drink Secure storage for user groups (some groups have significant storage needs) Technology support would be a major component, especially if video games are included, or if the City decided to commit to developing a venue of international calibre for any of the disciplines.

    ECF Under 18 and Under 13 County Championships The 2011 ECF Under 18 and Under 13 County Championships were hosted by outgoing 2010 Under 18 winners Berkshire at Eton College, which kindly provided a venue excellently suited for this prestigious jun- ior competition. The event attracted 192 players, many travelling far from north, south, east and west, with 9 teams of 12 participating in the Under 18 event, and 14 teams of 6 in the Under 13 event. The younger event was split between an Open section and a Minor with an average grade ceiling of 80, which broadened participation even fur- ther, encouraging inclusion of a number of plucky contestants years below the age limit. The different age groups were, as in previous years, faced with different event formats. The seniors did battle over a measured two rounds with 75 minutes per player on the clock, whilst the younger sections engaged in four rounds of 30 minute-a-side rapidplay. There are more opportunities for accomplishment of personal goals through sport than in many other aspects of life, and sport certainly can change the way other people see us. For some persons with a disability competitive sport provides a vehicle for levelling out some of the inequalities that are faced day-to-day. But for everyone it is thrilling, fun and satisfying. This book attempts to examine the route through which the Paralympic Movement has advanced. On its way to the present day we will see personal crusades, conflict and consensus. But the overriding message is one of heartfelt enthusiasm to make a difference. This study should allow us to understand something of the early sacrifices and successes of a small group of people, but it will also trace the emergence of a highly complex worldwide organisation, the International Paralympic Committee. In this sense it is both an institutional history and a weaving together of several biographies. The sketching of the personalities is vitally important to our understanding of the emergence of the modern phenomenon. The Paralympic Movement effectively began with the recreational and rehabilitative use of sport for persons with a disability, turning gradually into a broad-based pyramid of competitive sport that has ultimately led to the elite level of the Paralympic Games.

Apart from the AGM, there have been no ‘regular’ Committee meetings since the last edition of OnBoard. The BMSC went very smoothly and the new rooming arrangements seemed very popular, with all divisions in the same room. The AGM saw some lively discussion, but remained a very civil occasion, well chaired by Ross Mackenzie. Paula Davenport made her public debut as Youth Officer and her enthusiasm for the role was evident. It was good to see so many of our young players taking part in BMSC this year and we wish them all good luck in the WYSC later this year. Cheques from the Graeme Thomas Fund, to help toward the cost of attending, were presented to WYSC players at the end of the tournament. You will find the minutes of the AGM on page 31, but points raised at the meeting included: • Following questions from the floor, the BMSC surplus was explained, as was stock held (logo wear, round boards). • It was suggested that there might be a membership discount Some of the Committee facing members at the AGM.
