  • The Parsons and Patrons of Ampton W. A. Wickham
THE PARSONS AND PATRONS OF AMPTON. BY THE REV. W. A. WICKHAM, Rector of Ampton. The principal facts of the followinglist were supplied to me in October, 1918, by Mr. Leonard G. Boling- broke, Registrar of Norwich, from the Bishop's In- stitution Books, which began in 1299 (S. Hervey, Little Saxham, p. 140). In 1837 the Archdeaconry of Sudbury was transferred to the Diocese of Ely. The facts after that date were supplied by Mr. W. J. Evans, Registrar of Ely. The list may therefore be considered . official for the' most part. Here and there I have added a missing fact of which I was sure, and some, of which I was all but sure, I have not added. Where- ever a occurs instead of information, it may be taken that the information has not been obtainable. I sent a long list of desiderata to Mr. Bolingbroke on the receipt of his list, but again and again he replied " cannot trace," " no note," " not recorded." I have put the letter N (no information) in all these places. It willbe remembered that at the time of the Domes- day Survey 41085) there was at Ampton " a Church 124 THE PARSONS AND PATRONS OF AMPTON. advowson with 8 acres of free land as alms:" Con- sequently there would be many Rectors before John de Lenne, who held the living in 1286, and is the first on our list. We can scarcely consider this list ex- haustive of the period it covers. The sign ( signifies succession. Where ever it occurs we may be sure that the Rectors, whose names are so joined, succeeded without break.

  • Appendix III
Appendix III Appendix III Supplementary Property Prices Report for: St Edmundsbury District Council Fenland District Council East Cambridgeshire District Council Forest Heath District Council Viability Study 2009/10 - Background Introduction Adams Integra was asked to prepare an affordable housing viability assessment on behalf of these four local authorities. This meant undertaking an informed assessment of economic viability, as impacted by a range of potential affordable housing requirements (alongside other obligations) To underpin the viability study, and as a key part of our methodology, research was required to determine the level of new build housing values across the four Councils’ areas. As context for the viability study work, we needed to understand the level and range of values encountered, and likely to be seen as we move ahead, so as to make judgements as to the figures most appropriate to use in our appraisal modelling. We use a ‘Value Points’ methodology. That looks at how viability varies as the key driver of the new build property values vary – either by location and/or with time (as potentially influenced by varying market conditions). It is the new build values that are of key relevance to the viability study, given that such schemes are the supply source of the planning-led affordable housing being considered. In addition to new build pricing and for general background purposes, desktop information was also reviewed to enable us to consider the state of the overall housing market locally, including existing (i.e. overall/resale market) values. The context of the national and regional pictures is also outlined.

MOULTON C.E.V.C. PRIMARY SCHOOL ‘Working together, within a happy, caring, Christian community, we aim to inspire, encourage and enable children to be the best they can be.’ PROSPECTUS 2014- 2015 - 1 - Welcome Welcome to Moulton Church of England Primary School We believe that the first few years of any child’s schooling can have a great impact on their future. Here at Moulton CEVC Primary School, we are committed to developing every child’s desire to learn through the provision of a curriculum which is exciting and real within a setting where they feel safe and happy. We are looking to build a lifelong love of learning in children who are resilient and positive. We endeavour to nurture empathy and respect for others, so that our pupils have the necessary skills and attitudes to become the kind of people who we are happy to hand over our future to. We expect our pupils to play an active role in their school life and in the life of the local and wider communities – we want them to have responsibilities and get involved! We acknowledge the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers, so we regularly seek their views and ideas and we often ask them for help. We also recognise that parents and carers need to be fully informed about what is happening at school. We do this through our weekly newsletters and letters from class teachers. We also share our school improvement plan with our pupils’ parents and carers, so they have a clear idea of what we are working on.
