What Is Apple Pay? Apple Pay Allows You to Pay for Your Purchases with Your Iphone 6, Iphone 6 Plus, Or Apple Watch by Holding Your Phone Near a Contactless Reader What is Apple Pay? Apple Pay allows you to pay for your purchases with your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or Apple Watch by holding your phone near a contactless reader. You can also use your phone, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 to pay within certain apps. Which SECU card can I use with Apple Pay? Apple Pay works with all SECU Visa credit and debit cards. Can I use multiple SECU cards with Apple Pay? Yes, for each Apple Pay enabled device (iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch) you can load up to eight cards. Devices do not share cards, so if you want the same card on two different devices, you will need to load the card on each device separately. How do I add my card? You can add your card in a few easy steps. The process for adding a card is a little different between your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus: 1. Open Passbook and tap the plus sign. 2. Select the link in the Credit and Debit Cards section. 3. Tap the camera icon and take a picture of your card to automatically enter your card information. Enter the security code found on the back of your card, and fill in any remaining fields. iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3: 1. Go into Settings and tap Passbook & Apple Pay. 2. Select the link in the Credit and Debit Cards section. 3. Tap the camera icon and take a picture of your card to automatically enter your card information. Enter the security code found on the back of your card, and fill in any remaining fields. Apple Watch: 1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone 5 or 6 (must be running iOS 8.2 or higher) and select Passbook & Apple Pay. 2. Tap Add a Credit or Debit Card. 3. Use the camera on your iPhone to take a picture of your card and automatically enter its information. Enter the security code found on the back of your card, and fill in any remaining fields. If verification is required, you will be presented with a toll free number to contact SECU. After successful verification, your SECU card will be added to Apple Pay. When I add my SECU card to Apple Pay it doesn't look like the card in my wallet. Why? Apple Pay uses a graphical representation, not an exact replica of your SECU card. All SECU credit cards are represented in gray while the debit cards are in green. How do I change my default card to my SECU card? The credit or debit card associated with your iTunes account or the first card you add to Passbook is your default card. To change your default card: 1. Go to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay. 2. Tap Default Card. 3. Choose a new card. Where can I view and manage my Card in Apple Pay? For iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, you can view and manage your cards in Apple Pay by: 1. Going to “Settings” and selecting “Passbook & Apple Pay” 2. Tap on an individual card 3. View the “Transaction Display” 4. Manage the settings associated with that card in Apple Pay. For iPhone 6, you can also view and manage your cards in the Passbook app. When you select an individual Card: 1. Tap the ⓘ to get to the back of the card 2. View the “Transaction Display” 3. Manage the settings associated with that card For Apple Watch, you can view and manage your cards within your Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Simply tap on an individual card to manage the settings associated with that card in Apple Pay. The Apple Watch™ app will not display transaction detail or transaction history. How do I replace my old SECU card with my new card on Apple Pay? To remove your Card on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3: 1. Select “Remove Card” in the “Passbook & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings” or 2. On the back of your Card in the Passbook app. To remove your Card on Apple Watch: 1. Go to "Passbook" on your Apple Watch 2. Select your card then hold and tap "Delete" to remove your card Or you can remove your card using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone: 1. Open the Apple Watch app 2. Select "Passbook & Apple Pay" 3. Select your Card and navigate to the bottom 4. Tap "Remove Card" To add your new card, simply follow the instructions in “How do I add my card?” Is Apple Pay safe and secure for making payments? How does SECU help protect me against fraud? The safety and security of your account information is of the highest importance. Your card number is not stored in your phone. A device account number is loaded into the secure element in your phone instead. As a security measure, you may receive a “verification required” message when adding your card to Apple Pay. Once verified, an on-screen message will appear stating that the card is ready for use. This verification is part of our multi-layered approach to security in payments. When you make payments with Apple Pay and your SECU card: Your full card number is not shown to the merchant or to Apple. Only the fingerprint you associate with your Touch ID or phone passcode can authorize a payment. All transactions are monitored 24/7. Purchases made using Apple Pay are protected by Zero Liability, so you won’t be held responsible for promptly reported unauthorized transactions. How are my privacy and personal information protected? Since Apple Pay doesn't store your credit or debit card number in the phone, you never reveal your name, card number or security code to merchants. By using a device account number as a substitute for your card number, you no longer need to share your personal account information when you shop. Am I able to opt out of Apple Pay at any time? Adding your credit or debit cards to Apple Pay is your choice; you can add and remove cards when needed. Does SECU charge anything to use Apple Pay? No, SECU does not charge a fee for members to use Apple Pay. However, standard messaging and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless data plan. Where can I use Apple Pay? You can use Apple Pay with your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or Apple Watch at hundreds of thousands of stores and restaurants whose payment terminals are set up to accept contactless payments. Simply look for one of these symbols at checkout. Apple Pay is also available on your Apple Pay enabled iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in participating merchant apps. View the list of stores and apps at www.apple.com/apple-pay/where-to-use-apple-pay/. How do I use Apple Pay? To use Apple Pay on your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus at a merchant equipped with a contactless payment terminal, simply hold your device over the terminal and accept the charge with your fingerprint or passcode when prompted. A subtle vibration and beep will let you know your purchase was successful. To use Apple Pay on your iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3, simply look for the Apple Pay logo while completing your in-app purchase. These devices cannot be used to make in-store purchases using Apple Pay at this time. To use Apple Pay on your Apple Watch, you will be prompted to unlock your watch for payments by entering your four-digit PIN. You can also enter your four-digit PIN from your paired iPhone. The Apple Watch will automatically lock the Apple Pay feature once it is removed from your wrist, and cannot be used with Apple Pay again until it is placed back on your wrist and unlocked using the four-digit PIN. Your experience with Apple Pay may vary by merchant. If asked to verify the last four digits of your card number when making a purchase, provide the merchant with the last four digits of the device account number. The device account number can be found by selecting the ⓘ icon while viewing your card in the Passbook app. You may also be asked to provide a signature or debit card PIN to complete your transaction. Will I get notifications with Apple Pay? Yes, you will receive “Card Notifications” for your SECU cards in Apple Pay letting you know about purchases made with your SECU credit or debit card. How can I turn the notifications on and off? You can turn your notifications on or off by adjusting the “Card Notifications” settings for each card within the “Passbook & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings.” Please keep in mind that by turning off your “Card Notifications,” you will no longer receive transaction notifications, and you will no longer see your transaction history on the back of your card in Apple Pay. You will not receive specific "Card Notifications" for cards added to Apple Pay for your Apple Watch. You may receive notifications on your Apple Watch™ if you have a card added to Apple Pay on your paired iPhone and have push notifications enabled. If you do not want to receive these notifications on your Apple Watch™: 1. Go to the notifications section under "General Settings" in the Apple Watch™ app on your supported device 2. Unselect "Passbook & Apple Pay." Will I continue to earn rewards or points with my SECU credit card using Apple Pay? If you are in a rewards program, you will continue to earn rewards points or cash back rewards for purchases made using your SECU credit card in Apple Pay.
