1. Report of the Officer-in-charge - This annual report of the rescue centre (Amte’s Animal Ark) is being submitted for the year 2018-19. 2. History of the Rescue Centre – The rescue Centre (AAA) was started around 45 years back as an orphanage cum rescue centre for wild orphan animals on mother animal being killed by local tribal for food. Later the local people started bringing baby orphan animals to the rescue centre when they knew about our social objective of conserving of wild life and forest.

3. Vision – To save wild life and spread awareness amongst local tribal for conservation of wild life and thus environment.

4. Mission – To take care of injured/rescued/orphaned animals.

5. Objective – To rescue the animal found orphan/injured and provide immediate help needed for its survival.

International Yoga Day celebration at Amte’s Animal Ark (Orphanage cum Rescue Centre)

Yoga is regarded as one of the most effective method of establishing a connection between the body mind by Indian sages since time immemorial. It is a type of exercise that is performed through diet, breathing and physical posture for the relaxation of body and mind. Yoga is the practice for a healthy body, mind, soul and heart. So, this International Yoga Day 2018, promoting Yoga with Yoga day celebration at our organization.

Promoting and celebrating Yoga day gives us an opportunity to create health awareness among volunteers and staff of our Lok Biradari Prakalp at Hemalkasa. On 21st June 2018 (June 21st is the day which coincides with the summer solstice was declared by the UN General Assembly as International Day for Yoga) we celebrated "International Yoga Day-2018" organized by our organization at our school ground.

Report on Wildlife Week celebrated at Amte’s Animal Ark (Orphanage cum Rescue Centre)

A Wild Life Week celebration was planned to arouse the general awakening of normal people in the country towards the protection of wildlife. has decided to celebrate the event for one week in the month of October every year by organizing some special activities connected with the wild life conservation. The Government of India organizes variety of activities during this period through the environmentalists, activists, educators who encourage and accelerate the people mind to become aware of the wildlife conservation.

Amte’s Animal Ark is a recognized rescue centre where 100+ orphaned animals are taken care by the organization. We are doing this since last 44 years out of natural love and care towards animals. Here, we have celebrated wildlife week by conducting some special programme like; essay writing and painting competition at our school run by the trust. A rally was also organized by the organization to create awareness towards conservation of wildlife and natural resources. Students and teachers have actively participated the wildlife week awareness rally. This will definitely create awareness among new generation growing up and we are sure they will try to preserve the environment for future generations.
