Hamnen har en kryssningsterminal (Frihamnen (F638), för att kunna ta emot turn- around kryssningar. Vissa kryssningsfartyg anlöper Nynäshamn antingen p.g.a. att de är för stora för att komma in till Stockholm, för att det är för hård vind vid lotsstationerna eller helt enkelt för att rederierna vill ha en kortare insegling. I Nynäshamn finns en ”Sea Walk”, en flytbrygga, som gör att passagerarna inte behöver ta tenderbåt in till hamnen.
