YOUR EVENT ACCESS MAX Verstappen

When Max Verstappen was placed on Toro Rosso in 2015, Red Bull shocked the entire sport. Never had a driver so young and inexperienced taken spot in an F1 starting order. Red Bull must have known what they had in Verstappen as he went on to become the youngest F1 race winner in history.

Being born to an F1 driving father and a karting mother, it was easy for Verstappen to follow suit. Max got his first kart at age four and won nearly every race he entered for the next three years. In 2012, his ascent reached the summit as Verstappen became a European and world karting champion.

Less than a week after joining their distinguished junior driver program, Max was placed on Toro Rosso by Red Bull at the age of 17. During his debut Grand Prix weekend in Suzuka, he had an outstanding showing during practice. Max would complete two more practice sessions before testing for the team at the end of the 2015 season.

During his rookie season, Verstappen picked up a record three FIA awards by winning Rookie of the Year, Personality of the Year, and Action of the Year. After delivering a great first season and surpassing the already high expectations, many wondered how far he could go during year two. After only four races into the season, Max was promoted to his sister team of Red Bull Racing. He won his first race with Red Bull Racing, the Spanish Grand Prix, becoming the youngest driver to win in history. Throughout his first season with Red Bull Racing, Max collected six more podiums and solidified himself as F1’s youngest superstar.
