SCOTLAND The Saltire Society was founded in 1936 by a group of people ALBA who were keen to see Scotland restored to its proper position as a cultural entity The Society aims to foster and enrich the cultural heritage of Scotland in all its aspects. It encourages the study and appreciation of arts & sciences and presents annual awards for civil SALTIRE engineering, planning, literature, housing design and science.
