The Statue of Liberty is 1 of them. This famous statue is found in New York City. She is on an island. She is tall and green and holds a torch. She The Statue of Liberty makes people think about being free. The White House is another important place in America. This is a large white building in the nation’s capital. It is where the president of the United States lives. The president leads the country from there, too. Mount Rushmore is in South Dakota. It is a carving on a mountain. It shows the faces of 4 U.S. presidents. These are huge carvings. People can see them The White House from far away. On the Fourth of July, fireworks go off behind the carvings. The Liberty Bell is very old. It rang long ago. Its ring meant that people wanted to be free. The bell has a crack in it. So, it does not ring anymore. People can go see it in a glass case.
