HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER ONEIDA COUNTY Oneida County in Rhinelander, Wisconsin is accepting applications for the position of Highway Commissioner. This position plans and directs work of the County Highway Department requiring independent judgment and thorough knowledge of all factors affecting road construction and maintenance including short and long term planning. This is a full-time position with a 2021 annual salary of $76,913 to $87,901 based on prior experience and qualifications; excellent fringe benefit package included. Qualified candidate must possess the following: Associate Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field; minimum of five years’ experience in progressively responsible administrative and supervisory duties within a road construction/maintenance environment or business; any combination of education and experience that provides the equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience in highway and bridge construction, maintenance procedures and long-range construction planning; knowledge of budgetary planning, computers and personnel management strongly preferred.
