People remembered him for the way his dressed, and the stories he would tell. His legend grew as he met more people and told more stories. The legend of Johnny Appleseed turned into a tall-tale. A tall-tale is a a story that has been exaggerated. The story could be completely false or partially true. Johnny Appleseed's tall-tale is partially true because was he was a real person and he did travel around planting many apple trees. Some stories about him and his experiences were exaggerated though.
