Estuvo acompañando a la lideresa del tricolor, Beatriz Paredes; al secretario de Organización del CEN del PRI, Arnoldo nas Solórzano, quien después de Ochoa, y al gobernador de Veracruz, Fidel Herrera, entre otros. varios años acudió a un evento priista acompañando a la lideresa de ese partido, Beatriz Paredes.
