I'm not surprised I enjoyed this one as much as I did, since I've liked some of Deborah Underwood's other books. The illustrations work well with the text, too, providing the perfect illustration of the silly pirate mom and her shenanigans. The book ends with a bit of a twist that's somewhat predictable, but that kids will probably like. Overall, it's a strong book for early readers that'll have pirate lovers cracking a smile or two. Quotable moment: Pirate Mom stood Pirate Mom the yard. She wore an eye patch and Pirate Mom pirate head scarf. Pete's parrot sat on her shoulder. Pirate Mom swished Pirate Mom wooden spoon at the mailman. Jun 13, Pirate Mom Jr. Funny and weird. Aug 02, Angie rated it liked it Shelves: beginning-readers. My Review: This was such a fun and silly book to read with Munchkin. We both had some Pirate Mom watching the mom act like a pirate. Munchkin loved that she used a wooden spoon for a sword. It is a good level 3 book for those readers who have gained a lot of confidence and who have a little bit longer of an attention span. The illustrations in this one also added to the quirky and funny story, it will definitely keep young readers interest. Mar 24, Melissa Namba rated Pirate Mom it was amazing Shelves: Pirate Mom. Is a pirate mom better than a regular mom? Nov 25, Nicola Mansfield rated it really liked it Recommends it for: beginning readers. Having never heard of author or illustrator I had no high expectations of this easy reader beginning chapter book. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to find a fun, imaginative story with a message for both the child and the parent. The art is also humorous and of the cartoon show quality. Pirate Mom Pete wishes his mom would play pirates with him he gets way more than he expected after she is hypnotized into believing she is one. Pete comes out realizing he'd better be careful what he wishes for an Having never heard of author or illustrator I had no high expectations of this easy reader beginning chapter book. Pete comes out realizing he'd better be careful what he wishes for and thankful for the mum he does have, not the one Pirate Mom wishes for. Parents themselves can take note to remember that of course you must play with your children Pirate Mom remember to be their parent, not their friend. If the messages don't hit you, it's still a funny story seeing mom getting into pirate escapades that she is going to have a lot of explaining to do for tomorrow! Two thumbs up for The Fabulous Pirate Mom Pirate Mom (Step into Reading) | I would like to assume as parents we strive Pirate Mom provide our children with the best of things. But I came across a funny topic that parents can go on and on, back and forth, and continue to ponder on this subject — diapers. For some, it may be as simple as what is the cheapest and you can kind of deal with it, especially being new parents. Luckily for you all, Pirate Mom is here to add some sunshine to this dark and deepening dilemma. Deciding what type of diapers you want to use for your child is the first hump to get over. Think about it and go through this list of questions. Take those into consideration, and you should be able to come to a means of understanding. Go ahead and try out the regular disposable diapers. Do keep in mind with cloth diapers some may be better for day Pirate Mom and some may be more fit for night time. From my research try one of these top brands and see which one Pirate Mom your fancy. If your precious baby has sensitive skin and or some allergies Pirate Mom a certain thing you might want to steer away from regular diapers that can contain harmful contaminants. These three brands have been the most buzzed about eco-friendly, organic diapers around. Now that you have a few to choose from parents do your due diligence. Take it slow and purchase a little to see how you and your child likes the diapers first. Now dog diapers are a lot Pirate Mom to figure out, let me tell you! Thank you to all my followers, and I hope some of the information here has brought you much clarity. Pirate Mom, out! Have I got your attention yet? I have my own child as well and her name is Alexiis. I see people criticize our young people and it absolutely disgusts me. That feeling you got when I wrote that about your offspring, is what I feel when I witness things like that.
