Jim Dear Friends of St. Michael Parish School, Past Event Chairs Warmest greetings and blessings to you as you gather together Christopher & Deborah Graver & tonight to celebrate our S.M.A.R.T. Gala. I am so very appreciative Marc & Debra Defreyn ('17) of your presence here at Indian Summer for an evening of delightful Michelle Newlean ('16) companionship, fine food and drink, much fun and generous giving on Aurea Estrella-Geraghty ('14 & '15) behalf of the students of St. Michael Catholic School, our parish school, Trent and Christy Hart (’13 & '14) our Family of Families. Ross Borch & Carolyn Cloran (’12 & ‘13) Chuck & Tamara Liska (’11 & ‘12) I believe we are all aware of the great challenges that face Catholic Art & Marisa Foley (’11 & ’10) school education in our time. Not only are there the ever present Andy & Liz Kapust (’10 & ’09) financial stressors, but even more disconcerting is the erosion of belief Donovan & Alicia Quebedeaux (’09 & ’08) in God that at once are so subtle and yet so pervasive in our culture John & Becky Stoddard (’08) that make Catholic school education suspect. Mike Sellars (’07) Ann Willis (’07) Often times when parents have not experienced the gift and Susan Johnson (’06 & ‘05) immensely powerful experience of Catholic education and formation at Cindy Hageman (’06 & ‘05) a school like ours, their attitude can be dismissive because of what they may have mistakenly pre-conceive about a school such as ours. Ruben Manzanares & Ann Freeman-Manzanares (’05 & ’04) Tonight is an opportunity to be strengthened in your conviction in what Densise Williams (’04 & ’03) you have experienced for your children and yourselves at St. Michael Luke & Catherine Monroe (’03 & ’02) Parish School. You know, through many moments and exceptional Joe & Debbie Sullivan (’02 ) experiences, just how impactful our school community is. You know it Don & Louisa Johnson (’01 & ’00) when your children share the excitement with you on the ride home Scott & Vicki Euteneier (’01) after school or around the dinner table or while doing homework Dan & Jennifer Morgenstern (’00 & ’99) together. You know it when they achieve beyond what you ever Steve & Paula Meyers (’99 & ’98) thought possible. You know it, not so much in the report card and the Chuck & Diane Cumiskey (’98 & ’97) parent conferences, but you know it most especially in your heart and Lee & Jana Ingrim (’97 & ’96) in the depths of your soul when you look into their eyes. Don & Brenda Westfall (’96 & ’95) Dick & Diana Ryder (’95 & ‘94) Please, spread the good news of St. Michael Parish School, from Pre-K Paul & Janice Woolson (’94 & ‘93) to 8th Grade. Share with others what you have been gifted with. Invite Bruce & Debbie Waltermeyer (’94, ’92 & ‘91) others to be part of St. Michael, a Remarkable Tradition. Tim & Jamie Allwine (’94) With prayerful
