Having worked with Garth Jennings and Nick Goldsmith (Hammer & Tongs) on commercials gave Joel the opportunity to work on his first major film "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" for Disney. The project, which took one and a half years to complete, involved incredibly complex art department work. Overseeing a team of 36, Joel developed a process that helped bridge the gap between the traditional world of production and the rapidly developing digital world of post-production. By using highly accurate pre-vis work to never 'over-build', this resource dynamically helps to reduce the concerns that exist on a project with high expectations and a lower budget.
