Proverbs 3:5-6 You cannot rely on yourself to get to Heaven, and that through God only you can find the narrow way. We have to fully trust and love Jesus and be willing to lay down our lives for Him. Our job on Earth is to show God’s love and spread the good news to the entire world so that everyone can have a chance to experience God’s love and make the choice of their lifetime. We need to not just know who God is, but also have a strong relationship with Him. With God, we can do anything! The verses Proverbs 3:5-6 give me the simple directions on how to live. These two verses were also chosen as one of most admired role model’s, Desmond Doss’, favorite verses. He dedicated his life to God and resisted temptation by basing his life on the verses. They gave him and give me hope and strength through the hardest days. The words, “…lean not on your own understanding…” tell me that humans are powerless without the Almighty. “ …In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths… “tell me to give full credit to God for my talents, and that I will be rewarded with the five crowns of everlasting life. I am Gabriel Sagini, and I am a Disciple of Christ! Do Me a Favor, and Remember Me Thoughts The school had a kind staff, and the teachers used enjoyable but challenging games to interact fun with the learning process. Friends were easy to make, (well, after I stopped scaring the girls in first grade) and there were very few bullies attending the school. There is no judgment at Holy Family-St. Mary’s School. Everyone is equal, no matter what race, religion, or financial state. The food was so delicious, and the cooks were compassionate, caring, fair, and loving. Wishes for Remembrance The first quality I would like to be remembered for is my knowledge of the Bible. I find great joy and satisfaction in seeking out answers to the mysteries located in the Scriptures. Secondly, I desire to be remembered for my great handwriting and cursive, creative writing, math skills, and love of social studies as well as my excellent job of comprehending science. Camp "Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour" (1 Corinthians 3:8). "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" (Revelation 22:12). REWARDS ARE GIVEN for faithful service. Parents reward their children, teachers reward their scholars, and masters reward their servants to encourage and stimulate them in their labors and to express appreciation of the work done. Sometimes rewards are promised in advance, and sometimes they are given as a surprise; but they are based upon the services rendered or the sacrifices made. The character of a reward generally depends upon the generosity and the ability of the one who bestows it. Rewards differ from gifts. A gift is an expression of love and can never be claimed. A reward is bestowed because of labor performed and can always be claimed, if promised. Salvation is a gift; it can never be merited. It is bestowed by grace upon those who confess themselves to be unworthy sinners and receive the Son of GOD as their personal Saviour. Salvation is not a reward for good works, as some seem to think. "For by grace [unmerited favor] are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8). But rewards are promised by GOD to those who are saved by grace, and they are given according to the Christians' works after they are saved.

(Revelation 22: 12) KJV There are five crowns mentioned in scripture which can be given to believers. But these are certainly not the only rewards given in Heaven. The Bible teaches that there will be a “reward system” in Heaven. There are many scripture references to the fact that crowns and rewards in Heaven are for those who overcome; who are victorious. (Philippians 3: 12 – 14, I Corinthians 9: 24 – 27, Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26, 3:5, 12, 21, 21:7, St. Matthew 19: 11 – 27 v.17) We are saved not by works (Ephesians 2: 8 – 9, Titus 3: 5 – 8) but it is the gift of God; however, the crowns and rewards are where our works come into play. After being saved by the grace and unmerited favor of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, we must understand that good works are required (Galatians 5: 22 – 26, St. John 15: 16) and will get rewarded. That’s why we are told to store up for ourselves treasure in Heaven. (St. Matthew 6: 19 – 21) We should set our affections on things above, and stop worrying so much about temporal, earthly things and worry about where you’re going to spend eternity.

Calvin studies, pursued by the author for many years, have created in his mind an ever deepening con- viction that the Genevan Reformer was the instrument specially raised up by God for the purpose of saving and preserving to the world the fruits of the reforma- tion, at a time when these were in imminent danger of being frittered away by incompetent leaders. The great genius of "Wittenberg had died in 1546, with gloomy forebodings as to the future of the work which he and Zwingli had so successfully inaugurated. His prophetic vision did not deceive him. Soon after his death, the storm of opposition became so virulent as to threaten the very existence of Protestantism. A heart-rending wail went up to heaven: "Lord, save us; we perish!" Lead- ers in one compartment of Protestantism, in their anx- iety to save at least a few treasures, went so far as to counsel the lightening of the vessel by throwing over- board the very principles which were essential to the life of the reformation, when they consented to compro- mises of the most dangerous character, offered by pope, emperor and princes.
