AMERICAN WINE PROJECT WINES Sparkling This weekend we at Third Coast Provisions are honored to be listing the wines of American Wine Project more prominently among our wine list than ever before! Erin Rasmussen of American Wine Project is a world educated wine maker. Having studied in New Zealand and worked in California she is now proud to come back to her roots and tackle the not insignicant challenge of making great wine with the grapes that grow here. We at Third Coast, as well as many others around the city, and elsewhere can say with confidence that when given a chance her wines shine. Not only are they unique, but the quality wine she makes from these midwestern grapes can stand its own in any bar or on any menu. Join us in drinking something grown just hours from you, and celebrate someone doing the most possible with what they have - because they love it. • Life to Grasslands
LIFE to GRASSLANDS Layman’s report ABOUT THE PROJECT Preserving biodiversity in agricultural land is one of the key environmental challenges we are facing in Europe as well as globally. Extensive grasslands are one of the most endangered ecosystems, because their existence depends on continuous human activity, namely sustainable and moderate use of the land. At the same time, these are very diverse areas, but unfortunately their value often remains unnoticed. In the project Conservation and Management of Dry Grasslands in Eastern Slovenia, in short LIFE TO Dear Reader, GRASSLANDS (ŽIVLJENJE TRAVIŠČEM), we aimed to improve the conservation status and to ensure long-term Nature goes beyond the division of traditional sectors and openly invites the management of two species-rich grassland habitat types and the dependant plant and animal species in the cooperation of everyone involved in biodiversity, natural values and management four project subareas (PSA): Haloze, Pohorje, Kum and Gorjanci, which are also identified as Natura 2000 sites. of renewable natural resources. • The Art of Creating Emotions CHAMPAGNE PALMER & CO the ART of CREATING EMOTIONS
PRESS RELEASES The Art of Creating Emotions CHAMPAGNE PALMER & CO THE ART OF CREATING EMOTIONS For Palmer & Co, the creation of a cuvée is just as much the work of Nature as the work of Man. We combine the different grape varieties, crus, vintages and reserve wines harmoniously and with passion until we obtain the perfect blend, reflecting the intricate work of a master craftsman and a symbol of our House style: balance and elegance. EXCELLENCE FROM ITS VERY CREATION, A SEARCH FOR PERFECTION It started in 1947 as an association of seven well established winegrowers, all owners of premier and grand cru vineyards in the areas of the Montagne de Reims, and all striving for ultimate perfection. The unique style of their wines was rapidly recognised and the Palmer & Co brand, created in 1948, immediately incarnated this spirit of excellence. Since 70 years, being drawn together by our shared respect for the House values (Excellence, Authenticity and Emotions) makes us feel “Palmerian”. Whether referring to the vineyard workers, the creators of our cuvees or our staff dedicated to ensuring that the company operates smoothly and grows steadily, our “Palmerians” in spirit share the same DNA and can all take pride in the solid reputation of the Palmer & Co brand. THE HISTORICAL ROOTS OF THE MONTAGNE DE REIMS Palmer & Co is solidly established on 415 hectares of vineyards, comprising about forty crus, with over 200 hectares classified as Grand and Premier Crus in the Montagne de Reims area. Grapes from the Côte de Sézanne, Côte des Bars and Vallée de la Marne complete our blends, all contributing their specific characteristics.

DOMAINES BARONS DE ROTHSCHILD (LAFITE) CHAMPAGNE BOIZEL “JOYAU DE FRANCE” BRUT 2000 BACKGROUND In 1834 the Boizel House was established in Épernay, the heart of Champagne, by a family passionate about the wines of its region. Working with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced only from Champagne’s most coveted Grands and Premiers Crus blended with the best crus of Pinot Meunier, Boizel’s intimate knowledge of each village and hillside coupled with longstanding grower relationships allows them the ability to select the finest quality grapes for their Champagnes. At the same time, a growing appreciation of regional issues has raised interest in regional differences in each of these countries. This volume of the “Portrait of the Regions” series responds to this need and follows on in a tradition which has seen four volumes devoted to the current Member States, a fifth to Hungary, a sixth volume dedicated to the Czech Republic and Poland, a seventh to the Slovak Republic and the most recent volume covering the Baltic States, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Examining the 12 statistical regions of Slovenia, this ninth volume in the series has an almost identical structure to Volume 8, itself very similar to earlier publications.
