He grew up in Durban (Verulam) in a small kasi called eZwelitsha, where he was raised by his parents. He is attending school at Trenance Manor Secondary School. He is a Musician, Rapper, Singer, Trapper, Song writer, Model training Actor and MC Presenter. He is a Hip-Hop artist currently based in Sunnyside Pretoria, one of the coolest rapper in the capital city. MC JAY TEE started his journey in the music industry at tender age of 15 as a member of a group called Young Vibe with his high school friend, the group consisted of three members. Later on he moved to Witbank Mpumalanga and became a 4th member of a Witbank based Hip-Hop group. MC JAY TEE has grown so much into the music industry when he moved to Pretoria in 2015 to pursue his dream as a solo independent artist. His first solo project was realised in November 2016, the project was titled First Take Mixtape and consisted of 8 tracks. The mixtape was well received in the streets of Pretoria which lead to MC JAY TEE‟s music video shoot for a track called Feeling Myself in 2017.
