Administration of Barack Obama, 2011 Remarks on the Shootings in Tucson, Arizona January 8, 2011 As many of you are aware, earlier today a number of people were shot in Tucson, Arizona, including several who were meeting at a supermarket with their Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords. We are still assembling all the facts, but we know that Representative Giffords was one of the victims. She is currently at a hospital in the area, and she is battling for her life. We also know that at least five people lost their lives in this tragedy. Among them were a Federal judge, John Roll, who has served America's legal system for almost 40 years, and a young girl who was barely 9 years old. I've spoken to Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and offered the full resources of the Federal Government. A suspect is currently in custody, but we don't yet know what provoked this unspeakable act. A comprehensive investigation is currently underway, and at my direction, Director Bob Mueller is en route to Arizona to help coordinate these efforts. I've also spoken to the Democratic and Republican leaders in the House. Gabby Giffords was a friend of mine. She is not only an extraordinary public servant, but she is also somebody who is warm and caring. She is well liked by her colleagues and well liked by her constituents. Her husband, Mark Kelly, is a Navy captain and one of America's valiant astronauts. It's not surprising that today Gabby was doing what she always does: listening to the hopes and concerns of her neighbors.

Administration of Barack Obama, 2011 Remarks at a Memorial Service for Victims of the Shootings in Tucson, Arizona January 12, 2011 Thank you very much. Please, please be seated. To the families of those we've lost; to all who called them friends; to the students of this university, the public servants who are gathered here, the people of Tucson, and the people of Arizona: I have come here tonight as an American who, like all Americans, kneels to pray with you today and will stand by you tomorrow. There is nothing I can say that will fill the sudden hole torn in your hearts. But know this: The hopes of a nation are here tonight. We mourn with you for the fallen. We join you in your grief. And we add our faith to yours that Representative Gabrielle Giffords and the other living victims of this tragedy will pull through. Scripture tells us: There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. On Saturday morning, Gabby, her staff, and many of her constituents gathered outside a supermarket to exercise their right to peaceful assembly and free speech. They were fulfilling a central tenet of the democracy envisioned by our Founders: representatives of the people answering questions to their constituents, so as to carry their concerns back to our Nation's Capital. Gabby called it "Congress on Your Corner," just an updated version of government of and by and for the people.

  • So Long Loughner: a Life Sentence for a Framed Patsy
Stephanie Sledge – So Long Loughner SO LONG LOUGHNER: A LIFE SENTENCE FOR A FRAMED PATSY Sentencing day: New evidence, facts, and suppressed info- Could Loughner be innocent? By Stephanie Sledge 06Nov2012 : Revised 05Nov2018 http://www.thegovernmentrag.com/so‐long‐loughner‐a‐life‐sentence‐for‐a‐framed‐patsy.html "America is now part of the history of Communism. Interesting way to think of it, wouldn't you say?"- Dieter Heinlander; Gerta, "We would have been better off in East Germany" - Amerika, Mini Series, 1987 Jared Lee Loughner will be sentenced after accepting a guilty plea bargain on November 8th, 2012 for the alleged Tucson Safeway shooting rampage that took place on January 8th, 2011. Six people were gunned down and 13 others allegedly injured. Among the dead was a federal judge and a 9-year old girl named, Christina-Taylor Green. From the beginning, it was reported Jared Lee Loughner was a crazy, deranged schizophrenic psychopath that lacked the help of the mental health industry, went on a killing spree, and then drank the federal penitentiary pharmaceutical ‘kool-aid’ mixture which brought him back to sanity. At least long enough ‘sanity’ for him to enter into a guilty plea. Now, in just a few days, Loughner will be sentenced to life in prison. Page 1 of 30 Stephanie Sledge – So Long Loughner But, wait a minute, back it up! Could Jared Lee Loughner actually be an innocent man? It is apparent Loughner’s attorney, CIA Judy Clarke has no interest in investigating this case, nor exposing any inconsistencies. Has Clarke failed to adequately investigate or prepare for Jared Lee Loughner’s trial? Why would Jared take a plea when all the evidence points to a well-prepared and premeditated PSYOP, which used Loughner as a patsy scapegoat? It appears Loughner will be pleading guilty after months of sitting in a federal psychiatric ward begging the court system to stop forcibly medicating him.

COURTHOUSE DEDICATION: JUSTICE O'CONNOR REFLECTS ON ARIZONA'S JUDIcIARY Justice Sandra Day O'Connor In October 2000, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor visited Arizona to dedicate two new federal courthouses: the Sandra Day O'Connor United States Federal Courthouse in Phoenix and the Evo Anton DeConcini United States Federal Courthouse in Tucson. The following is a compilation of Justice 0 'Connor'scomments given at the dedication ceremonies. It is a great pleasure to be in Arizona this week to participate in the dedication of not one, but two, new federal courthouses-one in Tucson and one in Phoenix. The dedication of the Phoenix courthouse is an occasion that has, for me, a sense of unreality. How is it that the name of a cowgirl from Eastern Arizona would be carved in stone on this large new federal courthouse in Phoenix? As many of you know, I grew up on a cattle ranch in Greenlee County, miles from any town. My ambition as a child was to be a cattle rancher like my father. That was not to be, and, in time, I entered law school at Stanford. I knew only one lawyer at the time. He practiced law then in Lordsburg, New Mexico, and years later was appointed a federal district court judge. I did not know where a law degree might lead. When I graduated from law school in 1952, I received no offer of employment as a lawyer. There was one half-hearted offer of a job as a legal secretary. In time, I persuaded the District Attorney of San Mateo County to give me a job as a deputy.

GRIFFIN, RPR, CRR Certified Reporter Certificate No. 50010 2 JACK FRIEDMAN: I am Jack Friedman, President of the Directors Roundtable Institute. We are a pro bono group that has organized 750 events nationally and globally over the last 21 years. We have never charged a penny for anyone to attend any event ever. I myself have been a volunteer chair for the last 21 years, and that is the spirit with which we pursue our educational programming. The reason why this particular program is important is that we feel that there has been a disconnect between public service, public policy, and the larger community including business. We don't take positions on any public matter whatsoever. When I use the word "business community and business leaders," I'm really going beyond that. It can also be the nonprofit sector, academics, and others. We try to benefit the larger community, although the business community is what we're primarily identified with. The courts are the one branch of the United States government that is expected to have independence.
