2016 Disney Platinum Plan 1/1/16-12/31/16 Valid for Arrivals 2016 Disney Platinum Plan 1/1/16-12/31/16 Welcome to the Disney Platinum Plan. If your vacation dreams require that extra special touch, then the Disney Platinum Plan was created for you. It offers you a magical combination of fun and convenience. You’ll enjoy a complement of fantastic dining, recreation and entertainment options. This plan is full of possibilities! Dining Most of the restaurant locations in Disney Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, Disney Springs™ and Disney Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort hotels accept the Disney Platinum Plan. A list of these locations is available on pages 3 to 6. Number of Meals During Your Package Stay The Disney Platinum Plan includes one (1) breakfast, lunch and dinner and two (2) snacks per person, per night of your package stay for everyone in the party ages 3 and over, beginning after check-in to your Disney Resort hotel. The plan also includes one (1) Rapid Fill Resort refillable drink mug per person that is valid for the length of your stay (eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort hotel). Using Your Meals • You can redeem more than your allotted meals or snacks per night, as you wish, until your total number of meal/snack entitlements is depleted. • All unused meals and snacks and the ability to use your Rapid Fill Resort refillable mug expire at midnight on your package reservation check-out date. • You can also find plenty of locations where you can redeem your snacks - just look for this symbol on the menu boards at Quick-Service restaurants, most outdoor food carts and select merchandise locations to identify what items are eligible snacks. Certain items are not included in any dining plans such as: • Alcoholic Beverages • Items that are more than a single serving (such as a box of doughnuts or a jar of peanut butter) • Items (such as popcorn or drinks) that are served in a Souvenir Container • Items that are sold from Recreation Rental Counters • Items that are considered Merchandise (such as Bottle Toppers, Glow Cubes and Bottle Straps) • Special Dining Events with special menus offered at certain Table-Service locations The Disney Platinum Plan and its components may not be redeemed for cash in whole or in part, sold separately, transferred or refunded. Theme Park admission is required for selected items/activities. Advance reservations are strongly recommended and may be required for some Table-Service restaurants participating in the Disney Platinum Plan. Some facilities, activities, tours and recreation equipment rental may require advance reservations. Use is subject to availability and the local rules and regulations of the operating area. Operating hours, menus, entertainment, Characters, participating locations, components and terms are subject to change without notice. Disney Platinum Plan features are based on the length of your package stay at your Disney Resort hotel. The owners of the Walt Disney World® Resort shall not be liable or responsible for the non-utilization of Disney Platinum Plan components due to refurbishing, capacity, inclement weather or any other circumstance beyond their control. Operational hours may vary. 1 Redeeming Your Meals • Present your valid Disney Resort ID (either a MagicBand or card) to the server or cashier at the time a meal or snack is purchased and specify the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Disney Platinum Plan Guests ages 10+ and the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Disney Platinum Plan Guests ages 3-9. • Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available. • Gratuities are not included except at Dinner Shows, Private In-Room Dining and Cinderella’s Royal Table. • An additional form of payment is needed if you add a gratuity and have not provided a credit card at check-in to charge incidentals and other expenses to your room. • An 18% gratuity will automatically be added to your bill for parties of six or more. • An automatic gratuity charge may also be added to your bill for certain items you order that are not included in the Disney Platinum Plan (e.g. alcoholic beverages). • Choosing items from a separate prix fixe menu offered at certain locations requires payment of a surcharge in addition to redeeming a meal entitlement. • The Disney Platinum Plan is unavailable for Guests under the age of 3, but they may share from an adult plate at no charge, or a meal may be purchased from the menu. The price of the meal will be added to your bill. Tracking Your Meals • Your Meal usage will be tracked electronically to your reservation. Healthy Food Options • Disney is committed to offering a wide range of options for you and your family. We offer menu selections for all of our Guests, including children, seeking well-balanced meals, snacks and beverages as well as those with lifestyle dining requests or special dietary requests. Guests should notate any special dietary requests at the time of booking their dining reservation. Guests may also speak with a chef or manager regarding any special dietary requests upon arrival at the dining location. Theoretically building upon such works regarding utopian visons (Bregman, 2017, e.g., Claeys 2011;) and Disney studies (Garlen and Sandlin, 2016; Fjellman, 1992), this work combines historiography and speculative essays as its methodologies. In addition, this project explores how schools must do the hard work of working toward building a better future (Chomsky and Foucault, 1971). Through tracing the evolution of EPCOT as an idea for a community that would “always be in the state of becoming” to EPCOT Center as an inspirational theme park, this work contends that those ideas contain possibilities for how to interject utopian thought in schooling.

Shrouded in darkness, concealed with caution tape and faintly smelling of commercial-grade latex, my workspace on a recent morning had all the makings of a crime scene investigation, minus the actual crime. (Seems the ridicule of an innocent man on the occasion of his 40th birthday is still legal in this country.) Picture the children’s-play-area ball pit at your local pizza joint or fast-food establishment, only with more insults and (slightly) less bacteria. “Friends” had engulfed my desk in a sea of black balloons, each emblazoned with a different dig from a clever co-worker. Excavating the area like a young Indiana Jones, I read everything from “our interns were born when you were in high school” to “you know you’re 40 when someone offers you a seat on the monorail…and you don’t refuse.” While I may have been surprised (and, truth be told, delighted) by the extremity of the effort, I wasn’t surprised by the effort itself. Having now been part of the Disney Vacation Club Cast family for the better part of a decade, I know how much this team loves to celebrate. From births to birthdays, awards to anniversaries, changes in our community to changes in humidity, rare is the month that doesn’t bring cause for celebration. We’re even headquartered in a town called Celebration.     WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS Fast Pass+ at Walt Disney World Disney FastPass+ service lets you reserve access to select attractions, entertainment and more! With the purchase of a ticket or annual pass, you can start making selections as early as 30 days before you arrive, or up to 60 days (huge benefit!) before check-in when you have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation. There is no extra charge for this complimentary benefit. Before you start, be sure to link your vacation package, or tickets, or your annual pass to your MyDisneyExperience account. Also make sure to add the people you are planning with to your Friends and Family list. You can book up to 3 FastPass+ sixty days before your WDW check in date, starting at 7am in your MyDisneyExperience account. Tink’s recommends making your FastPass+ selections early in order to have a greater variety of options to choose from. After you have used up your first three FastPasses, you can get a 4th, use that up, you can get a 5th, etc. If your ticket includes a Park Hopper Option, after you use your initial FastPass+ selections at the first park, you’ll be able to make additional FastPass+ selections (one at a time) at the second park you visit that day, up to park closing. Just visit a kiosk or use your mobile device to make the additional selections. Note that kiosks allow FastPass+ selections only for the park where the kiosk is located, but you can view and cancel any of your FastPass+ selections, regardless of location.
