FREE WITH LOVE AT CHRISTMAS PDF Carole Matthews | 496 pages | 01 Sep 2014 | Little, Brown Book Group | 9780751545487 | English | London, United Kingdom With Love at Christmas by Mem Fox Work on the album began in Februaryduring which Lewis began writing "immediately" after the release of her less-commercially successful album Glassheart In Juneit was revealed and later confirmed that Lewis' fourth studio album would be a Christmas album, based on the recommendation of Syco boss Simon Cowell. Lewis enlisted two producers for the album: With Love at Christmas "Biff" Stannard and Ash Howes, with Lewis herself contributing to the album's production. This is Lewis' first album to be released in With Love at Christmas America since 's Echoas her album, With Love at Christmas was not released there. Upon release, Christmas, with Love was met with positive reviews from critics, praising the album's original songs. Other critics noted the album as "one of the best With Love at Christmas Christmas albums in memory. However, it With Love at Christmas certified Gold by the BPI for shipments ofcopies within four weeks With Love at Christmas its release, and has since become the thirteenth best selling Christmas album in the United Kingdom as of December The album was preceded by one single " One More Sleep ", which was released on 5 November and debuted at number 34 on the UK Charts. It peaked at number 3 on the UK singles chart. Moreover, Lewis promoted the album through a large amount of live performances, including the Regent Street Christmas lights switch-on event in London, England and on the tenth series of The X Factor ; this With Love at Christmas to the song rising to number 3, which in turn made it Lewis' highest-charting single since 's " Happy ". In Februarya representative from Syco MusicLewis' record With Love at Christmas, announced that she was about to start writing and recording material "imminently" for her fourth studio album, and that it would be released in late Management, the management team who had represented her since she won the third series of The X Factor in It became her first album to not debut at number one or earn platinum certification in the United Kingdom. In Junespeculation arose that Lewis' fourth album would in fact be a Christmas album, after British production duo MagicIT tweeted that they were in a studio recording Christmas songs with the singer. He came up with the Christmas album idea, and we both kind of felt it was the right time to go ahead with it. In an interview for Billboard magazine in NovemberLewis stated that she had thought about doing a Christmas album for a while, but did not intend on releasing one in for Christmasas she thought her she would be writing and recording the follow up to Glassheart instead after she With Love at Christmas finished her Glassheart Tourwhich lasted from April to July and saw her tour Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. However, she decided that she wanted to do something "a bit different" instead. It has a vintage theme, which includes the track list on the front cover, as well as nine different photos of Lewis posing with various Christmas objects. Lewis revealed the album's track list on 4 November Lewis carried out the vocal production with Stannard and Howes, too. Lewis embarked on a promotional tour across Europe prior to the album's release. The album received generally favourable reviews from critics, with some praising Leona for her vocals but not the material produced. Alexis Petridis from The Guardian gave the album two out of five stars and praised its three original songs. He called "Your Hallelujah" a "spectral ballad", and said that "One More Sleep" and "Mr Right" were "enjoyable", but said that covers of songs such as "Christmas Baby Please Come Home " and "Winter Wonderland" were "tinged with a sense of pointlessness". In Ireland, Christmas, with Love debuted at number 45 for the week ending 5 December[44] and rose to number 36 the following week.     EVERYONE A LEARNER EVERYONE LEARNING A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER A warm welcome to our second newsletter of the year. As I reflect on my first term at Abbot Beyne School I think all of the things that have been different this year, however ultimately the focus on learning and teaching and student achievement remains the same. I want to thank you for your continued support of the school. It has been a challenging year for everybody and I thank you for your understanding and patience. Compared to local and national secondary school figures we do appear to have had fewer Covid-19 cases but I still recognise the impact of asking students to self-isolate and remote learning has on families. As you are aware we have closed a day early for the Christmas holidays to further minimise contact between students to try to ensure everybody can enjoy the break. I have had a number of telephone calls with parents this term to try and receive some feedback about the school. Overwhelmingly this feedback has been positive. In particular parents have been impressed with the level of communication. To further enhance this we will be developing next term a parent and student app to keep you up to date with your child’s education and progress at the school. Please keep an eye on your emails for further details. To support learning and teaching at the school we are going to make a slight change to our behaviour policy. All students should bring their iPads to school, fully charged.

Photo credit: Romany-Francesca Mukoro In the semi-autobiographical Poet in da Corner poet, lyricist, and dancer Debris Stevenson explores how grime helped shape her youth. Debris and previously announced writer and performer Jammz will be joined by Cassie Clare and Kirubel Belay. Directed by Ola Ince, Poet in da Corner will also feature music and composition from Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante, co-founder and co-artistic director of Boy Blue. The production runs Friday 21 September 2018 – Saturday 6 October 2018 with press in from 7.30pm Tuesday 25 September 2018. In a strict Mormon household somewhere in the seam between East London and Essex, a girl is given Dizzee Rascal’s ground-breaking grime album Boy in da Corner by her best friend SS Vyper. Precisely 57 minutes and 21 seconds later, her life begins to change – from feeling muted by dyslexia to spitting the power of her words; from being conflicted about her sexuality to finding the freedom to explore; from feeling alone to being given the greatest gift by her closest friend. A coming of age story inspired by Dizzee Rascal’s seminal album, Boy in da Corner.

The research is focussed on the non- denominational school sector - approximately 90% of Scottish schools. The CfE has brought a shift in focus from solely curricular content to greater emphasis on character formation. Four key descriptors, termed “capacities”, are used: responsible citizens, effective contributors, successful learners and confident individuals. A number of supplementary programmes are being promoted to achieve this through schemes such as the ‘Rights Respecting School Award’, ‘Inspire-Aspire’, ‘Peer Mediation’ and ‘Restorative Justice’. The CfE details certain age-appropriate experiences and outcomes which pupils are expected to attain across eight core curricular subjects.

GROOTJEN Abstract In the field of Music Information Retrieval, studies on Hit Song Science are becoming more and more popular. The concept of predicting whether a song has the potential to become a hit song is an interesting challenge. This paper describes my research on how hit song predictors can be utilized to predict hit songs. Three subject groups of predictors were gathered from the Last.fm service, based on a selection of past hit songs from the record charts. By gathering new data from these predictors and using a term frequency-inversed document frequency algorithm on their listened tracks, I was able to determine which songs had the potential to become a hit song. The results showed that the predictors have a better sense on listening to potential hit songs in comparison to their corresponding control groups. Sep. 2021 1 In the Labyrinth: John Dee and Reformation Manchester Stephen Bowd The Labyrinth On 8 September 1597 John Dee (1527-1609), the warden of Christ’s College in Manchester, wrote to his old friend Sir Edward Dyer at court about his difficult new life in the north of England. Dee told Dyer that he was overcome or ‘enforced’ by ‘the most intricate, [c]umbersome, and (in manner) lamentable affayres & estate, of this defamed & disordred Colledge of Manchester’.1 In particular, he complained that he was assigned maintenance for himself and his household by the college fellows, and that he was bound by college oath to apply to them in order to earn this ‘right & dignitie’.
