Statistisk årbog er en opslagsbog, der har til formål at give et sammenfattet og over- skueligt statistisk billede al sanifundsforholdene i Danmark. Statistisk årbog er tillige en indgangsnøgle til den officielle statistik. Udover uddrag al Danmarks Statistiks egen produktion er årbogen suppleret med materiale, som velvilligt er stillet til rådighed al andre myndigheder eller institutioner (angivet i ta- belkilden). Bogen har desuden under hver enkelt tabel henvisninger til mere infor- mation om emnet Oplysningerne er opdelt i 14 emnegrupper. Til hver emnegruppe hører et tekstafsnit med blandt andet definitioner og ordforklaringer. Bogen indeholder desuden to selvstændige afsnit med summariske oplysninger om henholdsvis Færøerne og Grønland samt et afsluttende afsnit om internationale for- hold. I denne udgave af Statistisk årbog er der tilført en del nye tabeller samt ny informa- tion i en række eksisterende tabeller. Der er medtaget nye tabeller om blandt andet TT-erhvervene i Danmark, virksomhedernes adgang tilinternettet, elektronisk handel i virksomhederne, nystartede virksomheders overlevelsesevne fordelt på branchegrupper,de 20størstedagblade,afgørelservedrørendeanmeldte arbejdsskader, lønstatistik for den kommunale og statslige sektor, produktion al vedvarende energi samt regional regnskabsstatistik. Danmarks Statistik har i år besluttet at undersøge brugen af Statistisk årbog. Derfor har vi vedlagt et spørgeskema, som vi håber, De vil udfylde og returnere til os. Imel- lem svarene trækker vi lod om 10 eksemplarer af Statistisk årbog 2000. Undersøgel- sen skal give os viden, der kan bidrage til at udvikle bogen hen imod det, vores bru- gere har behov for. Tabellerne i årbogens forskellige afsnit er udarbejdet af de kontorer i Danmarks Sta- tistik, der dækker de enkelte statistikområder. Danmarks Statistik, september 1999 Jan Plovsing /Leon Østergaard Statistisk årbog 1999 3 Preface The Statistical Yearbook is a work of reference whose purpose is to present compre- hensible and illustrative information about social and economic conditions in Denmark. The Statistical Yearbook is also a guide to official statistics. In addition there are tabula- tions of data compiled by Danish authorities or institutions other than Statistics Den- mark (sources are indicated). The tables relating to Denmark are divided into 14 subject-groups, each with explanatory text on methods, definitions and references to other statistical sources. The Yearbook also contains two chapters giving summary information on the Faroe Islands and Greenland and a chapter on international conditions. In the present edition of the Statistical Yearbook a variety of new tables have been included on, e.g. IT sectors in Denmark, enterprises with access to the Internet, electronic transactions by enterprises, survival rates for new enterprises by industry, the 20 largest daily newspapers, reported industrial injuries and decisions, earnings statistics for local and central government employees, production of renewable energy and regional accounts statistics The tables in the Statistical Yearbook are compiled by the divisions at Statistics Den- mark which cover the subjects concerned. The present book is edited by Statistics Denmark's 16th division under the supervision of Mrs. Margrethe Pihl Bisgaard and Mrs. Birgitte Brøndum.     - Welcome to the good experiences In Denmark, there are 408 campsites with motorhome sites with all the required facilities. The 408 campsites are spread out all over Denmark, so you are never further than approx. 20 km from the nearest motorhome site, no matter where you are in the country. You can arrive at a motorhome site at any time of the day or night. The basic facility offered by a motorhome site is an even, stable pitch on which to park the motorhome. His many journeys abroad, through most of Europe, Asia Minor and even Morocco resulted in a string of travelogues that are surprisingly accurate and vivid, even when measured by today’s standards: Skyggebilleder af en Reise til Harzen, det sachsiske Schweitz etc. etc., i Sommeren 1831, 1831 (Pictures of Travel. Over a period of forty years, from 1829 to 1869, he visited no fewer than twenty-two castles and manor houses on Funen, as well as several bourgeois homes, and different excursion spots and vantage points around the island, in addition to paying visits to his mother in Odense, Funen’s main town.

    The Cimbri of Denmark, the Norse and Danish Vikings, and Y-DNA Haplogroup R-S28/U152 - (Hypothesis A) David K. Faux The goal of the present work is to assemble widely scattered facts to accurately record the story of one of Europe’s most enigmatic people of the early historic era – the Cimbri. To meet this goal, the present study will trace the antecedents and descendants of the Cimbri, who reside or resided in the northern part of the Jutland Peninsula, in what is today known as the County of Himmerland, Denmark. It is likely that the name Cimbri came to represent the peoples of the Cimbric Peninsula and nearby islands, now called Jutland, Fyn and so on. Very early (3rd Century BC) Greek sources also make note of the Teutones, a tribe closely associated with the Cimbri, however their specific place of residence is not precisely located. It is not until the 1st Century AD that Roman commentators describe other tribes residing within this geographical area. At some point before 500 AD, there is no further mention of the Cimbri or Teutones in any source, and the Cimbric Cheronese (Peninsula) is then called Jutland. As we shall see, problems in accomplishing this task are somewhat daunting. For example, there are inconsistencies in datasources, and highly conflicting viewpoints expressed by those interpreting the data.
