• Chemical Change- produces substances that have new and different properties. • Signs: a change in color, heat or light is given off, gas is produced, or powdery solid settles out of a liquid. • The mass of the matter does not change. • Compound- a chemical combination of 2 or more substances. • A compound has its own properties, different from that of the substances it is made of.
