Kokonaan työttömien määrä aleni 547:llä ja lomautettujen määrä 453:lla. Pieksämäki 8,2 Lomautettuja oli 247 eli kolmasosa vuodentakaisesta. Enonkoski 9,1 Rantasalmi Kangasniemi 8,1 9,7 Savonlinna Työttömiä oli elokuun lopussa reilut 700 heinäkuuta vähemmän. 11,5 Työttömänä oli 9,7 % työvoimasta. Aktivointiasteeseen laskettavissa palveluissa oli Etelä­Savossa elokuun lopussa yhteensä 2 901 henkilöä eli 240 enemmän kuin vuosi sitten.
