Cerambycidae is a species-rich family of mostly wood-feeding (xylophagous) beetles containing nearly 35 000 known species. The higher-level phylogeny of Cerambycidae has never been robustly reconstructed using molecular phylogenetic data or a comprehensive sample of higher taxa, and its internal relation- ships and evolutionary history remain the subjects of ongoing debate. We reconstructed the higher-level phylogeny of Cerambycidae using phylogenomic data from 522 single copy nuclear genes, generated via anchored hybrid enrichment. Our taxon sample (31 Chrysomeloidea, four outgroup taxa: two Curculionoidea and two Cucujoidea) included exemplars of all families and 23 of 30 subfamilies of Chrysomeloidea (18 of 19 non-chrysomelid Chrysomeloidea), with a focus on the large family Cerambycidae. Our results reveal a monophyletic Cerambycidae s.s. in all but one analysis, and a polyphyletic Cerambycidae s.l. -

For each taxon, the paper also includes zoogeographical remarks and chorotype information. Zeugophora scutellaris Suffrian, 1840 is the first record for Turkey. The leaf beetles (or Chrysomelidae, Orsodacnidae and Megalopodidae) are placed in the superfamily Chrysomeloidea, which also covers Vesperidae, Oxypeltidae, Disteniidae and Cerambycidae (Lawrence et al., 1999). The family Chrysomelidae is one of the largest families of organisms. It comprises an estimated 33 000 described species, with possibly another 10 000 undescribed. The family is almost exclusively herbivorous and species are found globally in all terrestrial and freshwater habitats where plants exist. According to Reid (2006), application of modern systematics, recognising inclusive groups from single ancestors, and an evaluation of relative rank commensurate with other beetle groups, has resulted in break up of the traditional Chrysomelidae into three families: Megalopodidae, Orsodacnidae and Chrysomelidae (Kuschel & May, 1990; Reid, 1995). This relatively new concept of Chrysomelidae includes the traditionally isolated family Bruchidae as the subfamily Bruchinae. -

Genera and subgenera proposed for Zeugophorinae are revised and the following new synonymy is proposed: Zeugophora Kunze, 1818 = Pedrillia Westwood, 1864 syn. nov. = Pedrilliomorpha Pic, 1917 syn. nov. = Papuleptura Gressitt, 1959 syn. nov. (from Cerambycidae). Due to the new synonymy Pedrilliomorpha atrosuturalis Pic, 1917 and Papuleptura alticola Gressitt, 1959 are transferred to Zeugophora. A new genus, Zeugophorella gen. nov. (= Pedrilliomorpha sen- su MEDVEDEV (1996)), is proposed for elongate New Guinean species with the following species transferred to it: Z. bicolora (Medvedev, 1996) comb. nov., Z. clypealis (Medvedev, 1996) comb. nov., Z. elongata (Gressitt, 1959) comb. nov., Z. gracilicornis (Medvedev, 1996) comb. nov., Z. riedeli (Medvedev, 1996) comb. nov. A new species, Zeugophorella pallescens sp. nov., is described from West Papua (Manokwari prov.). A key and catalogue of all New Guinean species with a faunistic overview is also included. Key words. It has an im- portant role in copulation and oviposition, and it is highly informative in species delimitation. Here, we present a comparative study of the spermathecal morphology in the coleopteran family Megalopodidae. The spermathecae of 34 species, representing 13 genera and all three subfamilies, were studied. Illustra- tions are newly provided for all species, except in 14 cases in which illustrations were reproduced from previously published literature. Our results show that each subfamily of Megalopodidae can be effectively differentiated based on the particular spermathecal anatomy. In addition, the spermathecal anatomy pre- sents a range of variation within each subfamily, useful for diagnosing species and, in some cases, identify- ing groups of genera.
