DIVISION I WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS RECORDS BOOK 2017 Championship 2 History 7 All-Time Team Results 21 2017 CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS Oregon wins 2017 women's outdoor track and field championship: Eugene, Oregon — Oregon took home the 2017 women's outdoor track and field national title on Saturday at Hayward Field, officially cementing the first ever Triple Crown, as the Ducks won the cross country and indoor track and field titles as well this season. Oregon last won the outdoor title in 2015, and fell just short to Arkansas last year. This year, they scored 64 points to clinch the title, followed by Georgia (62.2), USC (43), Kentucky (40) and Florida (39). The team race came down to the wire in the 4x400 relay. The Ducks had to finish first in the race to earn the crown, if not Georgia would have taken home the title. "We’re getting good at winning by just one point," Oregon's head coach Robert Johnson said. "It should have never ever come down to that... but what a champion’s heart to see her soldier back in a very short period of time to run a hell of a leg in the 4x400… Just a lion’s effort by those girls today." In a tight race with USC, the Ducks came through, with anchor Raevyn Rogers pushing hard past the finish line and finishing in 3:23.13. “Before the 4x400, Coach Johnson just sat us down and told us we just needed to do really, really well," Rogers said. "We knew we needed to get those points on the 4x400, but he said he was happy for us either way.

DIVISION I WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS RECORDS BOOK 2015 Championship 2 History 7 All-Time Team Results 21 2015 CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS Oregon achieves crown jewel, sweeping men's and women's outdoor titles: In two short years, Robert Johnson had accumulated quite the résumé at Oregon. The Ducks won five national titles between the fall of 2012 and the spring of 2014 in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field. On Saturday, Johnson's résumé gained an item that moves to the top of the list. One year after Oregon men's team ended a 30-year title drought at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the women did the same Saturday at Hayward Field. That gave the Ducks a sweep of the outdoor team titles in 2015, and for the first time in school history. "That's the crown jewel," Johnson said, a few minutes after being doused with the contents of an ice bucket for the second time in as many days. The Oregon women's march to the NCAA team title wasn't as dominant as that of the men. And the Ducks dug themselves a hole at the outset of the final session of the four-day meet --the 4x100-meter relay quartet was disqualified after a bad second exchange. Where the women followed suit with the men was in getting a couple of meet-changing performances that busted the form chart. The first came when Jenna Prandini leaned to the 100-meter title in a windy 10.96 seconds, and the second came 30 minutes later when precocious freshman Raevyn Rogers claimed the 800-meter crown.
