INTERNATIONAL MILITARY CARTRIDGE RIFLES AND BAYONETS The following table lists the most common international military rifles, their chambering, along with the most common bayonet types used with each. This list is not exhaustive, but is intended as a quick reference that covers the types most commonly encountered by today’s collectors. A Note Regarding Nomenclature: The blade configuration is listed, in parentheses, following the type. There is no precise dividing line between what blade length constitutes a knife bayonet vs. a sword bayonet. Blades 10-inches or shorter are typically considered knife bayonets. Blades over 12-inches are typically considered sword bayonets. Within the 10-12 inch range, terms are not consistently applied. For purposes of this chart, I have designated any blade over 12 inches as a sword bayonet. Subject: Weapons & Items Requests for UC-1.13/DL-1.13/AFS Posted by Wil473 on Mon, 08 Aug 2011 22:28:31 GMT View Forum Message <> Reply to Message Looks like Smeagol beat me to creating one of these. As I am sharing items between the three mods, spinning out a thread for weapon and item requests. Please include at a minimum: - link to more information - rational why I should be adding your favourite gun to three different mods (I've included a list of weapons already in-mod to avoid embarrassing incidents of duplication) - description to item (bonus points if it is usable in-game) - graphics (bonus points if they are usable in-game, and you are the artist so I don't need to track anyone down for permission) Note, that with New Magazine System (NMS) in the works, this thread will be mostly to gather information for future "Advance Capability" versions of the mods that will be created after the current "offical" cycle of v1.13 releases. Specifically NMS, so far, has a few features that not only simplifies adding unique magazine capacities and multiple magazine capacities, but on considering what ChrisL has already stated to be his plans for NMS, features that can be exploited (ie. not ChrisL's intention, but I plan on abusing it for this purpose) to make supporting a common item list between multiple mods much easier... EDIT (2016/10/03): This thread has been replaced by The 2nd Weapons & Items Requests for UC-1.13/DL-1.13/AFS noticed the list was broken when clearing the Sticky flag on this thread.

  • AK47 and Variant Information
AK47 and variant information By Paul Popov on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:59am **The AK47 (contraction of Russian: Автомат Калашникова образца 1947 года; Avtomat Kalashnikova obraztsa 1947 goda; "Kalashnikov's automatic rifle model of year 1947") is a selective fire, gas operated 7.62mm assault rifle developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. Six decades later, the AK47 and its variants and derivatives remain in service throughout the world. It has been manufactured in many countries and has seen service with regular armed forces as well as irregular, revolutionary and terrorist organizations worldwide. The AK47 was one of the first true assault rifles and, due to its durability, low production cost and ease of use, the weapon and its numerous variants remain the most widely used assault rifles in the world—so much so that more AKtype rifles have been produced than all other assault rifles combined. It was also used by the majority of the member states of the former Warsaw Pact. The AK47 was also used as a basis for the development of many other types of individual and crewserved firearms. Design work on the AK began in 1944. In 1946 the rifle was presented for official military trials, and a year later the fixed stock version was introduced into service with select units of the Red Army (the folding stock model was developed later). The AK47 was officially accepted by the Soviet Armed Forces in 1949. An early development of the design was the AKS47 (S—Skladnoy priklad), which differed in being equipped with an underfolding metal shoulder stock.
