WHAT TO LOOK FOR – WEEK 6

THE PATRIOT WAY: The enter Week 6 as the AFC’s only unbeaten team (5-0) and with the top defense in the NFL, ranking first in fewest points allowed per game (6.8) and fewest yards allowed per game (238.4). Their 34 total points allowed through five games are the fewest points allowed through a team’s first five games since the 2005 (29 points) and the fifth-fewest since 1970.

By allowing 12 or fewer points against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football (8:20 PM ET, FOX/NFL Network/Amazon), the Patriots would rank in the top five for the fewest points allowed through a team’s first six games since 1970.

In Week 5, New England TOM BRADY passed for 348 yards and three in the Patriots’ win over Washington, and surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer (71,838) for the third-most career passing yards in NFL history.

THE FUTURE IS HERE: This Sunday, Kansas City quarterback and Houston quarterback face each other for the first time in their careers, when the Chiefs welcome the Texans to Arrowhead Stadium (1:00 PM ET, CBS). Entering Week 6, Mahomes leads the NFL in passing yards (1,831), while Watson ranks second in the league in passer rating (115.9). The pair are tied for second in the league in passes with 11.

Mahomes, who has 7,212 passing yards in 22 career games, and Watson, who has 7,228 passing yards in 28 career games, can each reach 7,500 career passing yards on Sunday. Should the pair each reach the milestone, they would become the fastest and tied for the third-fastest in NFL history to reach 7,500 career passing yards.

STAFFORD SLINGER: Detroit quarterback MATTHEW STAFFORD enters Week 6 with 39,648 career passing yards in 145 games during his 11-year career with the Lions.
