CW Holy Communion & Baptism11am Romans 12:9-end & Matthew 16: 21-end Joint Service with the Methodists at St Peters 6.30pm 2 Kings 8: 1-6 and Acts 18: 1-11 MAKE & BAKE: The sum of £120.50 was achieved by the sales table held on 24th August. Once again many thanks to all who donated, purchased and helped in any way to make the table successful in raising money for the Inspire Fund. There will be no table in September but please make a note in your diaries the next one will be held on the 4th Sunday in OCTOBER (26th). MEN’S BREAKFAST: After the summer break, the next breakfast will be held at the Palace Hotel 13th September at 07.30 prompt when we welcome former Chief Minister Sir Miles Walker, and his title - “Then and now !” The cost of this breakfast will be £11.00, and the correct change would be much appreciated. A Christian Stewardship Scheme operates in this Church. Many of our congregation choose to give by standing order monthly/ quarterly/ annually as suits them. If you would like to know more about regular giving please contact the Parish office 675797.
We continue to be grateful to all regular pledged givers and everyone who contributes to our loose plate offerings which help towards the ongoing costs of running a church and our ministry in Onchan. Note there will be NO Holy Communion on Wednesday 10th September due to the Ministry Conference
Come and join in the fun at FISS; our café style service -open to all, on 7th September, @ 11.00 am at the Parish Hall. We are going to be finding out about all God’s Creatures. There will then be a light lunch followed by a lovely lady from Manx Wildlife Trust visiting to take us pond dipping in the wetlands (wellies may be needed!).
