Krämer Diraingeáol from Goréŏr and Kélebil from Melekéiok View from Blai No. VII a Ingeáol in Goréŏr towards the gogeál-rocks Songél a Lise in the south Foreword. This Volume presents part III and IV of the index in Vol. 1 p. XIII. New for monographs of people is the exact recording of settlements; of nearly every onea description of the place, its industriousness, privileges, history, constitution and village-god have been indicated next to a map of the village. Mr. H. DENYS., graphic artist at the Deutschen Seewarte in Hamburg executed the drawings with much devotion. An explanation for the map is found on p. XII. The records were obtained by counting steps and bearings with the compass in a plane table procedure. This seemed to be the best way in Palau where there were stone paths and pavements for the bai, trailheads, seats for the chiefs, bathing-pools, etc. All consisted of loosely assembled stone heaps and therefore deserved to be recorded. During these surveys each house, etc. was visited; therefore many things were noticed, which might have been overlooked otherwise, and this was an additional advantage. I am of the opinion that even studying the most primitive people a record of the settlement should be made. Just like on Samoa, I took special care in the genealogical chart, this time following the example of KIEFER. The historical results have been noted down on p. 224 and the demographic ones on p. 295. The last part informs about the exceptional difficulties with the studies of the language. The index of the general literature is in an appendix of this volume. Due to the slow progress of the printing, it seemed an advantage, as there are many references in the text. The Spanish literature has already been mentioned in Vol. 1. To repeat it at the end might be considered. The nowadays prevalent oppression and condemnation of our colonial ventures by our enemies cannot stop the German spirit of research. The current new order cannot be a lasting one. May the reports of the Hamburger Südsee-Expedtion be evidence of how Germany developed its colonies. • Linux Software Catalog 2018
Linux Software Catalog 2018 This is a list of software I use on a daily bases and consider the best of the best. Although most can be found in the software tool provided by your distro, some may be outdated or froze for stability. I tend to use Flatpak to get somethings, like Krita, so I am using the latest versions. Flatpak apps are installed locally and do not interfere with the underlying system or package manager. I also go directly to the source for others. If you can’t find an app listed here in the package manager or Flatpak Google the name. You can get flatpak apps here: https://flathub.org/home I use Budgie on top of Pop! OS. I use Pop! OS because I am on a System76 laptop and drivers are excellent. I do like Budgie over Gnome, Cinnamon, Mate, etc. regardless of underlying Linux flavor as it’s closer to OS X than the others. I like the work-flow. My current desktop: To get a bigger selection of software open the terminal and type: sudo apt install synaptic Provide the password you set at install. Do not lose that password as it is the only way to manage everything on the system. GRadio (I can't live without this app.) GRadio is installed using Flatpak. It is not available in the Ubuntu repos. https://flathub.org/apps/details/de.haeckerfelix.gradio Open the terminal and type: flatpak install flathub de.haeckerfelix.gradio Then type (should show up in the menu, maybe logout and in if not): flatpak run de.haeckerfelix.gradio Rhythmbox can also play internet radio, gradio just does it better.

In particular, the At-sea Monitoring Program provides information that is used in analyses that support the conservation and management of living marine resources and that are required under the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA), Executive Order 12866 (EO 12866), and other applicable law. GIO is a library, designed to present programmers with a modern and usable inter face to a virtual file system. It allows applications to access local and remote files with a single consistent API, which was designed "to overcome the shortco mings of GnomeVFS" and be "so good that developers prefer it over raw POSIX call s."[2] GIO serves as low-level system library for the GNOME Shell/GNOME/GTK+ software s tack and is being developed by The GNOME Project. It is maintained as a separate library, libgio-2.0, but it is bundled with GLib. GIO is free and open-source s oftware subject to the requirements of the GNU Lesser General Public License. Contents 1 Features 2 See also 3 References 4 External links Features The abstract file system model of GIO consists of a number of interfaces and base classes for I/O and files. There is a number of stream classes, similar to the input and output stream hierarchies that can be found in frameworks like Java. There are interfaces related to applications and the types of files they han dle. There is a framework for storing and retrieving application settings. There is support for network programming, including name resolution, lowleve l socket APIs and highlevel client and server helper classes. There is support for connecting to D-Bus, sending and receiving messages, ow ning and watching bus names, and making objects available on the bus. Beyond these, GIO provides facilities for file monitoring, asynchronous I/O and filename completion. In addition to the interfaces, GIO provides implementations for the local case.
