Linux Kernel 3.7.2 a Jeho Instalace Ovládejte svůj fotoaparát vzdáleně z LinuxMintu přes USB 29. Prosinec, 2012 autor Satapouch Včera jsme si popsali dva motivy Cinnamonu a v dnešním článku na toto navážeme popisem tří nedávno zveřejněných motivů GTK+ tak, aby novoroční proměna vašeho desktopu byla úplná. První motiv: Wow 2 Jako první si představíme podle mě to nejpovedenější téma s názvem Wow 2. Název je asi zvolen záměrně, neboť po jeho instalaci a nastavení jsem skutečně vyvalil oči a šeptnul wow. Téma Wow 2 je opravdu hodně povedené a na desktopu vypadá fantasticky. Motiv Gtk3 je vylepšenou verzí motivu GTK2. Záměrem autora bylo vytvořit takové téma, které by každému “padlo do oka”, aby nebylo příliš odlehčené, aby nebylo moc tmavé, mělo malý kontrast a zároveň aby bylo použitelné, přívětivé a graficky vyvážené. Toto vše se autorovi beze zbytku povedlo do motivu Wow 2 zakomponovat a směle si troufám tvrdit, že je to zatím nejlepší motiv jaký jsem měl možnost vidět a asi si na mém desktopu nějakou dobu pobude. Balíček obsahuje následující témata : - GTK3 (dvě verze – světlý a tmavý panel nástrojů) - GTK2 (dvě verze – světlý a tmavý panel nástrojů) - Metacity (dvě verze – pravá a levá boční tlačítka) - Unity, Xfwm4, Openbox - Emerald - Chrome-Chromium Chcete-li si tento motiv GTK+ nainstalovat, stáhněte vše potřebné z tohoto odkazu. Poté stažený archiv rozbalte pod rootem do/usr/share/themes nebo do skryté složky ~ /.themes. Nyní si již zvolte dané téma v nastavení pracovního prostředí nebo použijte Ubuntu Tweak. Můžete si též nastavit Wow 2 s levými tlačítky jako motiv okna. Druhý motiv: Trevilla theme Dalším motivem je Trevilla theme. Je v základu inspirován motivem Clearlooks-Phenix. Jedná se klasické světlé, lehké téma, určené právě pro vyznavače těchto odlehčených stylů. Chcete-li si motiv GTK+ Trevilla theme nainstalovat, stáhněte vše potřebné odtud. Poté stažený archiv rozbalte pod rootem do/usr/share/themes nebo do skryté složky ~ /.themes. Nyní si již zvolte dané téma v nastavení pracovního prostředí nebo použijte Ubuntu Tweak. Třetí motiv: Adwaita-X dark/light 1.2.1 Posledním dnešním tématem je motiv s názvem Adwaita-X dark/light 1.2.1. Vychází, jak již název napovídá, z tématu Adwaita. Jsou to dvě varianty – světlá a tmavá. Je to celkem povedený motiv s jednoduchými tlačítky pro práci s okny. Balíček s motivem obsahuje: - GTK3 - GTK2 - Mutter (okenní manažer) - Metacity - Xfwm4 Chcete-li si motiv GTK+ Adwaita-X dark/light 1.2.1 nainstalovat, stáhněte vše potřebné odtud. Poté stažený archiv rozbalte pod rootem do /usr/share/themes nebo do skryté složky ~ /.themes. Nyní si již zvolte dané téma v nastavení pracovního prostředí nebo použijte Ubuntu Tweak. Jednoduchá aktualizace Linux Mint 13 (Maya) na Linux Mint 14 (Nadia) 31. Prosinec, 2012 autor Satapouch Na závěr tohoto roku vám předkládáme malý návod, jehož pomocí si několika jednoduchými kroky můžete aktualizovat Linux Mint 13 Maya na Linux Mint 14 Nadia. Vše se uskuteční pomocí metody apt-get a s vlastními balíčky v repozitáři. Vezměte však na vědomí, než vůbec zahájíte proces upgrade, že tento způsob není doporučen, protože systém může přestat fungovat. Linux Mint Team doporučuje aktualizovat pomocí Live-CD nebo provést čistou instalaci. Důrazně doporučujeme provést zálohu všech důležitých dat před provedením níže uvedených kroků. Faktem však je, že nám se tímto způsobem úspěšně podařilo provést upgrade z Linux Mint 13 na 14 a vše pracuje bez sebemenších problémů. Ti z vás, kteří chtějí raději provést čistou Linux Mint 14 (Nadia) pomocí Live CD/DVD, tak navštívte: 1.Linux Mint 14 (Nadia) – Instalační příručka Upozornění: Před následujícími kroky proveďte zálohu vašich dat! Aktualizace Linux Mint 13 na Linux Mint 14 1. Otevřete si terminál (Ctrl+Alt+t) nebo jej otevřete prostřednictvím menu >> Aplikace >> Příslušenství >> Terminál. 2. Pomocí příkazu v terminálu “sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list” otevřete nano editor. Nejprve udělejte zálohu souboru před provedením jakékoliv změny v tom souboru. Poté nahraďte slova “Maya” za “Nadia” a “precise” za “quantal”. Ve spodní části terminálu se vám zobrazují změny před a po každé operaci. Snímek před provedením změn v souboru: Snímek po provedení změn v souboru: 3. Po provedení změn v souboru, zadejte v terminálu příkaz “sudo apt-get update“, který aktualizuje systémovou databázi balíčků. 4. Dále zaktualizujte distribuční balík pomocí příkazu ”sudo apt-get dist-upgrade” a poté zadejte příkaz “sudo apt-get upgrade” k ověření, zda jsou všechny balíky aktuální. 5. Zadejte příkaz “sudo reboot“, kterým provedete restart počítače pro dokončení upgrade. Následně byste měli vidět uvítací obrazovku Linux Mint 14. V daném výběru poté vyberte svůj desktop. Nevybírejte skript “Spustit Xclient”, ten by vám po přihlášení zobrazil prázdnou obrazovku. 6. Můžete si ověřit verzi Linux Mint zadáním příkazu v terminálu “sudo cat /etc/issue“. 7. Uvítací obrazovka Linux Mint 14 Nadia. Toto je náš malý silvestrovský dárek pro ty z vás, kteří se rozhodli přejít na nejnovější verzi Linux Mintu nejméně bolestivou cestou. Prosinec, 2012 autor labeent Úvodem Ještě než se společně pustíme do naší recenze Cinnamonu (česky Skořice) je zapotřebí si vysvětlit několik základních pojmů. Linux Linux je původně označení pro jádro Unixového operačního systému. V současnosti je Linux označení pro operační systém se zmíněným jádrem a softwarovou výbavou. Linuxové distribuce Linux distribuujeme v podobě linuxových distribucí, které obsahují jak zmíněné jádro, tak zmíněný doplňující software v takové formě, která usnadňuje jeho instalaci a používání. Systém je ale možno spustit i bez instalace z tzv. Live media (cd, dvd, usb). K tomu máme samozřejmě na výběr také 32-bit. nebo 64-bitové provedení. Mezi nejznámější patří Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Suse Linux, Red Hat, Mandriva (Mandrake) a spousta dalších. To je jeden ze základních rozdílů mezi systémy Windows a Linux. Systém Windows má samozřejmě také jádro a softwarové vybavení. Ale protože je systém vlastněn, vyvíjen a distribuován pouze společností Microsoft, tím veškerá podobnost končí. Existuje tedy pouze jediná distribuce v různých provedeních (32-bit, 64-bit). K tomu si samozřejmě můžete zvolit provedení (Home, Profi, Ultimate apod.). A tím také Vaše možnosti volby končí. Vše ostatní je Vám nadiktováno majitelem licence (Microsoft).Existují pouze malé možnosti přizpůsobení, které často končí pádem systému (vzhled Win7 ve WinXP apod.). Dnes je krásným příkladem takového diktátu vzhled Win8, který je spoustou lidí odmítán, ale prostě mají smůlu. Samozřejmě můžete použít v systému programy jiných výrobců. Desktopové prostředí Oproti tomu Linuxové distribuce Vám nabízí ještě několik dalších možností. První z nich je volba tzv. Desktopového prostředí. Mezi nejznámější a nejrozšířenější patří Gnome, Kde, XFCE, LXDE. Existuje jich ale samozřejmě mnohem více. To jsou prostředí, která se liší jak pojetím, tak i vlastním provedením, programy, náročností na hardware apod. Pracovní prostředí Mimo to ale ještě můžeme k desktopovému prostředí zvolit jeho pracovní prostředí. Mezi nejznámější z prostředí Gnome dnes patří Gnome 3 (Gnome shell), Cinnamon, Gnome 2 (Gnome panel), MATE a UNITY. To je výběr, o kterém se uživateli Windows ani nezdá. Na jednu stranu je to skvělé, že je možností tolik, na druhou stranu to může uživatele Windows přecházejícího k Linuxu pořádně zmást. On na to totiž není zvyklý. Abychom mu usnadnili jeho výběr, představíme Vám v následujících řádkách prostředí Cinnamon. Cinnamon Popis a historie Cinnamon je název moderního pracovní prostředí, který uslyšíte čím dál tím více. Proč? Je to proto, že Cinnamon je výchozí pracovní prostředí v nejoblíbenější distribuci dneška Linuxu Mint. Druhým hlavním prostředím, které je vyvíjeno pro Linux Mint je prostředí MATE. MATE je prostředím vycházejícím z lety ověřeného prostředí Gnome 2, které je tak vývojáři LM udržováno stále při životě. Naproti tomu Cinnamon je nově vzniklé prostředí, které si vytyčilo za úkol odstranit nedokonalosti nového prostředí Gnome 3. A to se mu rozhodně podařilo. Je to dáno i tím, že za tzv. “Forkem Gnome 3″ stojí samotný hlavní vývojář Linuxu Mint Clement Lefebvre. A proč se Clem do tak složitého úkolu vůbec pustil? Je to prosté. Nejvíce používané prostředí Gnome 2 odsoudili jeho vývojáři k zániku po zveřejnění svého nového projektu Gnome3. Bohužel to však udělali dosti předčasně, kdy ještě Gnome3 nebylo plně připraveno oblíbené Gnome2 nahradit. Mnohé linuxové distribuce tedy stály před problémem „Co dál?“ Největší odpor zazněl ze stáje Canonical stojící za oblíbenou distribucí UBUNTU. Když si prozkoumali nově vznikající prostředí, rozhodli se, že touto cestou nepůjdou a začali vytvářet prostředí nové. Jejich prostředí, nazývané Unity, bylo vypuštěno ještě v nestabilní verzi, která nebyla něčím, co mělo být zveřejněno tak brzy.
