District Health Action Plan Siwan 2012 – 13
DISTRICT HEALTH ACTION PLAN SIWAN 2012 – 13 Name of the district : Siwanfloku Create PDF files without this message by purchasing novaPDF printer (http://www.novapdf.com) Foreword National Rural health Mission was launched in India in the year 2005 with the purpose of improving the health of children and mothers and reaching out to meet the health needs of the people in the hard to reach areas of the nation. National Rural Health Mission aims at strengthening the rural health infrastructures and to improve the delivery of health services. NRHM recognizes that until better health facilities reaches the last person of the society in the rural India, the social and economic development of the nation is not possible. The District Health Action Plan of Siwan district has been prepared keeping this vision in mind. The DHAP aims at improving the existing physical infrastructures, enabling access to better health services through hospitals equipped with modern medical facilities, and to deliver the health service with the help of dedicated and trained manpower. It focuses on the health care needs and requirements of rural people especially vulnerable groups such as women and children. The DHAP has been prepared keeping in mind the resources available in the district and challenges faced at the grass root level. The plan strives to bring about a synergy among the various components of the rural health sector. In the process the missing links in this comprehensive chain have been identified and the Plan will aid in addressing these concerns. The plan has attempts to bring about a convergence of various existing health programmes and also has tried to anticipate the health needs of the people in the forthcoming years. -

Modeling a Sequence of Multinomial Data with Randomly Varying
Modeling a sequence of multinomial data with randomly varying probabilities Soudeep Deb, Rishideep Roy, Shubhabrata Das Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Bannerghatta Main Road, Bangalore, 560076, India. Abstract We consider a sequence of variables having multinomial distribution with the number of trials correspond- ing to these variables being large and possibly different. The multinomial probabilities of the categories are assumed to vary randomly depending on batches. The proposed framework is interesting from the perspec- tive of various applications in practice such as predicting the winner of an election, forecasting the market share of different brands etc. In this work, first we derive sufficient conditions of asymptotic normality of the estimates of the multinomial cell probabilities, and corresponding suitable transformations. Then, we consider a Bayesian setting to implement our model. We consider hierarchical priors using multivariate normal and inverse Wishart distributions, and establish the posterior consistency. Based on this result and following appropriate Gibbs sampling algorithms, we can infer about aggregate data. The methodology is illustrated in detail with two real life applications, in the contexts of political election and sales forecasting. Additional insights of effectiveness are also derived through a simulation study. Keywords: Bayesian methods, Election data, Gibbs sampling, MCMC, Posterior convergence, Sales forecasting. arXiv:2104.02924v1 [stat.AP] 7 Apr 2021 Preprint submitted to Elsevier April 8, 2021 1. Introduction Multinomial distribution is the most common way to model categorical data. In this work, we study the behaviour of a collection of multinomial distributions with random fluctuations in cell (or ‘category’, as we interchangeably use the two terminology) probabilities. -

Analytical Study of Groundwater Resources and Its Management in Siwan District, Bihar Shio Kumar Singh Research Scholar, Dept
Analytical Study of Groundwater Resources and its Management in Siwan District, Bihar Shio Kumar Singh Research Scholar, Dept. of Geography, J.P. University, Chapra, Bihar (India), E-mail Id- [email protected] Mobile No.: 9955413615 Abstract Rapid population growth and heavy demands of water in agricultural, domestic and industrial sectors have led to deterioration of groundwater resources in the study area, Siwan. The major objectives are to study the groundwater depth zone, water level fluctuations and groundwater balance. This paper is based on secondary data. This data have been collected from PHED, Siwan from 2011 to 2014.76samples of wells have been selected based on stratified random sampling method. The general findings reveal that the maximum blocks of the study area come under shallow depth zone and minimum blocks come under medium depth zone which indicate the variability of groundwater resources. The specific findings and management of groundwater resources have been discussed in detail in this paper. Keywords: Deterioration, Depth zone, Fluctuations, Groundwater, Groundwater balance. Introduction Water existing in the voids of the geological stratum below the surface of the earth is called groundwater and its utilization to fulfil the basic needs is called groundwater resources (Gurjar, 2007). Groundwater, which is 38.5% of the available water resources of country, plays a significant role in irrigation, rural water supply and urban water supply for domestic purposes along with industrial development (Gurjar; 2007).Groundwater
