Develop an increased knowledge of surgical disease and treatment. 2. Be able to analyze the clinical results of new approaches or techniques for managing surgical disease. 3. Have improved ability to examine new concepts and techniques in surgical science. 4. Appreciate advances in clinical knowledge gained from analyzing outcomes in large clinical databases. The purpose of this conference is to provide a vehicle for the distribution of peer-reviewed basic and clinical science research and to provide an opportunity for dialogue concerning topics of interest to the members. The program has been selected from abstracts submitted by the membership of both associations. The subject matter selected is a cross-section of the cutting edge of surgical practice today. The target audience is surgeons.
