The hotel is a 20- minute walk from the Bank of England. For exact locations, please consult the map. Directions The nearest underground stations to BoE and Citadines are Bank and Barbican. Bank is on the (Central, Northern, DLR and Waterloo & City Lines) and Barbican (Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines). From Heathrow Airport Heathrow Express trains depart from Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes and the journey time to Paddington station is 15 minutes. A standard return ticket will cost approximately £36.00 if purchased from the ticket office before boarding. From Gatwick Airport The Gatwick Express train offers high-speed travel between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria station, with a journey time of just 30 minutes. Take the Circle line to Barbican for the hotel. Take the Victoria line and change at Oxford Circus where you should take the Central line to Bank for the conference venue. From Luton Airport Luton Airport is served by a high frequency shuttle bus service connecting the airport with Luton Airport Parkway rail station in just 8 minutes. Passengers arriving at the airport or at the station without purchasing a rail ticket will pay a bus fare of approximately £1.60 single, £2.70 Standard Open Return. At Luton Airport Parkway station, take the East Midlands train or the First Capital Connect train to St. Pancras International (journey time approximately 30 - 40 minutes; a standard open return costs £29). Take the Northern Line to Bank for the conference venue. You can catch the Circle/ Hammersmith & City/ Metropolitan line to Barbican for the hotel as well. This is also the same for those travelling by Eurostar into St. Pancras International Stansted Airport The Stansted Express departs every 15 minutes during peak hours, seven days a week. The journey time is 40 minutes and a return ticket will cost approximately £32.00. The station is located within the terminal and the line goes to Liverpool Street station in London. At Liverpool Street Station, buy a Zone 1 single ticket in cash (£4.90) or use an Oyster card/ Contactless Card (£2.40) for underground travel. Take the Central line 1 stop to Bank for the conference venue, or the Circle/ Hammersmith & City/ Metropolitan line 2 stops to Barbican for the hotel. (It is actually quicker to walk from Liverpool Street – see the map enclosed for directions) City Airport London City Airport is on the DLR line with a 22-minute journey time to Bank. The DLR is integrated with the underground system. Either an oyster card/ Contactless card (fare £3.30) or single ticket for Zones 1-3 (£4.90) will be valid. The DLR station is situated 50 yards from the Airport terminal. A taxi ride from Paddington Station to the venue/hotel takes between 20 and 50 minutes depending on traffic. A taxi ride from King’s Cross and St. Pancras takes about 10 to 20 minutes. A taxi from Victoria Station takes between 20 and 30 minutes. A taxi ride from Liverpool Street Station takes between 5 and 10 minutes. Meals Breakfast will be provided at the conference venue. Lunch will be provided at the conference venue. A conference dinner is planned for the active participants on the programme on the night of Thursday 22 June. Further details will be communicated in due course. A member of the support team will escort you to the room for the dinner. Please see map for directions Procedures to be followed inside the Bank building Attendees will not be given security passes; they will have name badges and should be worn at all times. All attendees must have photo ID to gain access to the building. No ID means no access. The bank is very strict on this. If you wish to leave the building during the day, please ask a member of the support team to escort you. No photographs should be taken at any time inside the Bank building.
