The Course Pitch&Putt Golf Orvelte

This magnificent, spacious and challenging 18 holes course is located at Landal Orveltermarke. The course is set up playfully with a water hazard and branched channels. The course is suitable for experienced as well as inexperienced players as the distance between the holes is short, between 30 and 70 meters.

The Pitch&Putt Golf course Orvelte is located on the Landal Park Orveltemarke. Landal Orveltermarke lies concealed in the peaceful countryside of the magnificent area Middle Drenthe. You can stay in charming chalets. When you enter Orvelte, which is within walking distance of the park, its many historic buildings will make you think you have travelled back in time. The outdoor museum makes the history of 100 years ago seem almost tangible. The four forestry areas in the immediate surroundings and the three national parks in Drenthe will do the rest.

Bungalows Striking, comfortable or luxury bungalows, situated in a country environment. Living room with lounge and dining area. Flat screen TV (except types 6D2 and 8E2), DVD and CD player. Open kitchen with a.o. dishwasher. Separate toilet. Central heating. Patio with adjustable garden furniture. Duvets on all the beds.

There are several types of bungalows for different amount of persons. For the European Championship there are bungalows for 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 24 persons.

For each bungalow Landal Orveltemarke offers a hotelservice. Visitors have possibility that the breakfast, lunch and dinner will be delivered to the bungalow. The entire stay is fully catered.

Public transport from airport

Take the train to Beilen. Take a number 22 bus from the station. Alight in Orvelte at the ‘weg naar Witteveen’ bus stop. Continue walking in the direction of the bus. Then after 50 metres, turn right onto the road ‘Mr. J.B. Kanweg’. The park is located on the right after 450 metres.

By (rental) car From the north: Take the A28 to Utrecht/Zwolle. Then take exit 31-Westerbork and turn left onto the N381 towards Emmen.*

From the south: Take the A28 towards Groningen. Then take exit 31-Westerbork and turn left onto the N381 towards Emmen.*

* After approximately 8 kilometres, take the exit for the N374 (Westerbork/Orvelte/Mantinge). At the end of the exit, take the fourth exit on the roundabout and head towards Orvelte. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto Hoogeveenseweg and head towards Orvelte. At the next roundabout, after approximately 1.5 km, take the first exit onto Sliemkampen and head towards Orvelte. At the end of Sliemkampen turn right onto Oosteinde and head towards Orvelte. After 350 m, bear left where Oosteinde turns into Orvelterstraat. After approximately 2 km, Orvelterstraat will turn into Wezuperweg. Follow this road for another 1.5 km and then turn right into Mr. J.B. Kanweg. The park is located on the right after 450 meters.

Cities in the area Not far from the the park there are some worth visiting cities.

Assen Assen is the capital of the province Drenthe and lies in the Middle of Drenth e. About 25 minutes from Pitch&P utt Golf Orvelte. Assen's main claim to fame is the TT Circuit Assen the motorcycle racing circuit, where on the last Saturday in June the Dutch TT is run.

Besides the Dutch TT you can v isit the wonderful city of Assen and spend a day enjoying the beautiful architecture. In Assen you can also find the Drents Museum.

Emmen 20 minutes from Pitch&Putt Golf Orvel te lies the city Emmen. Besides the Noorder Zoo t here are few historic landmarks in the city centre, those few include the church on the market square, where a church has been standing since the Middle Ages, the c ourt of law building, dating from the beginning of the twentieth century and the post office from the same time. In the town's environs an earthwork by Robert Smithson, "Broken Circle/Spiral Hill," may be found .

Groningen In about 40 minutes from Pitch&P utt Golf Orvelte you are in the city Groningen. The lagerst city in the north of the Netherlands. The city is nationally known as the "Metropolis of the North" and as "Martinista d" referring to the Martini tower.

Although Groningen is not a very large city, it does have an important role as the main urban centre of this part of the country, particularly in the fields of music and other arts, education, and business. The large number of students living in Groningen also contributes to a diverse cultural scene for a city of its size.

Groningen has several nice places to visit. There is the Groninger Museum, the Dutch comic museum . Further you can find in public place over more than 300 sculptures.

The cultural scene of Groningen is vibrant and remarkab le for a city of its size. In particular, the Grote Markt, the Vismarkt, the Poelestraat and Peperstraat are crowded every night of the week, and most bars do not close until 7 in the morning. Between 2005 and 2007, Groningen was elected "de beste binnenst ad" (the best city centre) of the Netherlands .

Orvelte Museum Nearby Pitch&Putt Golf Orvelte there is the Orvelte Museum. Orvelte is one of the most beautiful villages of Drenthe and Holland . Monumental farm s, well-maintained houses, beautiful gardens and streets gives the village an unique atmosphere that is really worth visiting.

Museum of Drenthe Visit the museum of Drenthe is Assen for archeology, Contempary Realism, Art and Applied Art 1885 -1935 and Partage Plus – Digitization art nouveau . There are also some great exhi bitions during the year.
