Fire Fist’s Coyle, Silva and Reyes Jr. return to action at the Coliseum on February 16 during St. Pete Fight Fest Tampa, FL (January 14, 2019): Connor “The Kid” Coyle, Willian “Babyface Silva” and Mark Reyes Jr. will return to the ring on Saturday, February 16. The event is co-promoted by Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions and Rite Hook Promotions and will take place in St. Pete Coliseum. The action will be live-streamed on UFC Fight Pass©. Undefeated Connor “The Kid” Coyle (8-0, 3 KOs) and former NBA Intercontinental Middleweight Champion will co-headline the event. Fighting out of Derry, Ireland but training out of St. Petersburg, FL, Coyle is scheduled for 10-rounds. “I’m excited and very grateful to be back in St. Pete arena. I am prepared to come back in the ring once again and ready to give a great performance for my St.Pete and Tampa Bay supporters,” Coyle said. In a second co-featured event, current ABF Continental Americas lightweight champion Willian “Babyface” Silva (26-2, 15 KOs) will fight 10-round bout. The Plant City, FL based Brazilian commented: “I’m excited to be co-headlining the St. Pete Fight Fest. I am ready to fight and I am coming back hungrier than ever, ready to dominate.” ABF Continental Americas Welterweight Champion Mark Reyes Jr. is also scheduled to fight during St. Pete Fight Fest. “Fighting on this card is a great opportunity and I have the obligation to give a great fight to all my home fans. Lightweight Legends Back when things were in Black and white and Boxing had only 8 weights classes, Lightweight was one of the toughest division’s to make a name for yourself fast forward to today things haven’t changed much. Lightweight still has some of the elite performers in the game. Granted things aren’t as hot at 135 as they have been in the past years. That could all change this weekend when Juan Manuel Marquez heads back to the more cosy confines of Lightweight after his sojourn to a Welterweight catchweight against Floyd Mayweather. His opponent this time at least seems mortal, a rematch with Juan Diaz. Last February Diaz’s youth, size and strength seemed as though they would help him gain the biggest win of his career to date. Slowly but surely Marquez refined and tuned his considerable skills, creating gaps in Diaz defence until landing two howitzer right hands that dropped Diaz before conclusively ending the argument with a devastating right uppercut. It was ultimately one of the top fights of 2009. Also on Saturday’s card will be Robert Guerrero & Joel Casamayor, though the fight is a few pounds above the Lightweight limit the winner will most likely look to fight the winner of the main event. Just a few pounds south at 130 Jorge Linares and Rocky Juarez duel in an intriguing fight in which the loser has no place to go. It’s not quite the Lightweight Lightening that took place last April when eight of the top Lightweights were scheduled to face off, though it never quite worked out.

Roy Jones Jr to headline Knockout Season 2 Fight card on 8/15 Former four-division world champion and future Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. (61-8) will continue his quest towards a world title in a fifth weight class on August 15th. Jones, who has reeled off 7 victories in a row, will headline Knockout Season 2’s live fight card at the Foxwoods Hotel and Casino and will be broadcast live on Fuse/NuvoTV. Jones also served as the host of Knockout’s second season. The 46-hear-old Jones, who has captured world titles as a middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, is working his way towards a title shot at cruiserweight to complete the quinfecta. He is also scheduled to fight on August 29th and said that he loves keeping a busy schedule. “I am going to fight on Knockout on the 15th and then again on the 29th. I did two (fights) in March and I am liking how it feels so I am going to do two again in August and see how that feels. If I like how it feels then I will do it again maybe two or three weeks apart,” said Jones.
