In order to be considered, questions or clarifications must be received by the Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Office prior to 4:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2020. Clarifications or modifications of the Task Order documents, if required, will be issued by Addendum. PROJECT IDENTIFICATION Project Number: 20-103 Project Name: Erickson Courtyard Improvements and Stairs Repair Building: Erickson Hall DESCRIPTION OF WORK Remove existing site features within the limit disturbance and construct new site features and furnishings. Remove existing concrete stairs and construct new concrete stairs per A. Morton Thomas and Associates Inc’s 100% CD and Specifications dated 4/13/2020 with MDE Permit 20-SF-0065. Any variations in the scope of work during the process will be notified and processed by issuance of addenda. The Notice to Proceed will be issued promptly following receipt and evaluation of Proposals and award. On-site work shall start no later than Tuesday, May 26, 2020. The actual start dates of your work will need to be coordinated with UMBC Project Manager and other trades prior to work. PROJECT SCHEDULE April 14, 2020 – 11:00 AM Webex Pre-Proposal Meeting April 15, 2020 – 9:00AM Site Visit (Meet at Parking Lot 26) April 17, 2020 – 4:00 PM - Questions Due April 22, 2020 – University Reponses to Questions/Clarifications issued by Addendum April 27, 2020 – 4:00 PM - Proposal Due Date May 8, 2020 – Anticipated Contract Award (depending on MDE approval) May 11, 2020 – Estimated Early Start Onsite/RFIs May 26, 2020 – Construction Start Estimated Late Finish August 21, 2020 Substantial Completion/Punch-List August 28, 2020 Final Completion PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING The Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held via Webex at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. SECOND WALK-THROUGH Second walk-through of project site will be held upon request. MBE There is a minimum requirement of ten percent (10%) MBE Participation on this task order. Awarded vendor will be required to submit monthly MBE reports to the Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Office. BID BONDS If the Proposer’s total lump sum price is greater than $100,000 or greater, a bid bond will be required. PAYMENT & PERFORMANCE BONDS In the event that the awarded dollar amount is $100,000 or greater, the successful contractor will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. INSURANCE A certificate of insurance including Builders Risk coverage and in accordance with the UMB On Call GC Contract.
