Case study: Emma Burgon

Emma recently completed the two year FdSc in Health and Active Lifestyles and remains confi dent with her choice to study Higher Education at Lincoln College:

“I wanted a course that would provide the opportunity to gain work experience and help me develop employment skills, whilst putting into practice what I learnt in the classroom, which is exactly what the FdSc in Health and Active Lifestyles provided.

I was accepted onto similar programmes at four Universities - choosing to study in Lincoln had many advantages for me. Financially, the costs were reduced as the tuition fees were lower and being able to stay at home meant the cost of living was cheaper. The tutors were very supportive and I loved that the classes were small – I think that played a huge part in being able to stay on top of all the work!”

Emma is now employed by the YMCA in Lincoln.
