HONORING PETER N. SILVESTRI, UPON HIS RETIREMENT AS PRESIDENT OF THE VILLAGE OF ELMWOOD PARK

WHEREAS, Peter N. Silvestri is retiring as President of the Village of Elmwood Park after serving for 24 years; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Silvestri is the longest-tenured Village President in the history of Elmwood Park; and

WHEREAS Mr. Silvestri has always been an active and dedicated leader in his community, serving as the youngest member and President of the Elmwood Park School Board and as a Village Trustee prior to becoming Village President; and

WHEREAS in the last twenty-four years, with Mr. Silvestri’s vision and leadership, Elmwood Park has experienced numerous enhancements to the community and a much-improved quality of life for its residents; and

WHEREAS, some of the more notable enhancements include expanded green space with the addition of parks and playgrounds, a state-of-the-art public safety building, a community swimming pool and upgraded recreation department, a senior citizen community center, a public works beautification program, and a new library; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Silvestri’s passion for and commitment to the Village are unsurpassed and his legacy will long be remembered and enjoyed by all Elmwood Park residents.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Board of Commissioners of Cook County do hereby congratulate Peter N. Silvestri on his retirement and express their gratitude for his exemplary dedication to public service.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution shall be presented to Village of Elmwood Park President, Peter N. Silvestri, as evidence of the high esteem in which he is held by this Honorable Body and the people of Cook County.

TONI PRECKWINKLE, PRESIDENT, Cook County Board of Commissioners CAMBODIAN REMEMBRANCE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, according to historians, from 1975 to 1979 upward of 3.2 million Cambodians and people living in Cambodia were murdered by execution, torture, starvation and illness; this genocidal abomination was perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge regime led by Pol Pot; and

WHEREAS, many of these murders were performed at sites now known as the Killing Fields, where the near-dead were forced to dig their own shallow, mass graves; and

WHEREAS, the Cambodian American community in and the Cambodian Association of Illinois have linked arms in solidarity to ensure that those individuals who were murdered will never be forgotten, nor shall the survivors be forgotten, individuals who will forever bear the scars of having witnessed and experienced unspeakable horrors at the hands of the Khmer Rouge; and

WHEREAS, the Cambodian American community in Illinois and the Cambodian Association of Illinois also have come together in solidarity to educate the residents of Cook County about the rich and resilient culture and history of the Cambodian American community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, does hereby recognize April 17, 2013 as a day to join with the Cambodian community in remembering and paying tribute to those individuals who lost their lives so tragically to the Khmer Rouge and to honor the survivors and wish them Godspeed as they heal.

IN MEMORY OF DR. ROBERT YOUNKINS SR.

WHEREAS, Almighty God in his infinite wisdom has called from our midst Dr. Robert Younkins Sr; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Robert Younkins Sr. was born to Theodore and Bertha Younkins in Havelock, North Carolina. The eldest of six siblings he was a loved and respected “big brother”; and

WHEREAS, Bob as he was commonly known by his friends was a graduate of Tilden High School and valedictorian of his graduating class; and

WHEREAS, From the University of Wisconsin where he completed both his undergraduate and medical school studies Bob pursued his medical training by completing his Internship in San Francisco, California and later as a Residency Fellow at the University of Illinois at ; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Younkins had a passion for medicine as well as for service to his community. Board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, his private practice spanned nearly thirty years and he often gave of his time to participate in community health panels; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Younkin's also spent many years as an Attending Physician at Michael Reese Hospital where he treated many Chicago leaders who sought his service at their point of need; including my mother Former President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners Bobbie L. Steele. We will be forever grateful for his dedicated and attentive service to his patients; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Younkins had a love of life and nature; he enjoyed skiing, sailing, fishing and walks along Lake Michigan; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Younkins Sr. is survived by his loving wife Donna, their children Maya and Robert and granddaughter Zora; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, on behalf of more than 5.2 million residents of Cook County, does hereby offer its deepest condolence and most heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of the late Dr. Robert Younkins Sr. and joins them in sorrow at this time of loss; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body and a copy of the same be tendered to Donna Younkins, wife of the late Dr. Robert Younkins Sr. so that his memory may be so honored and forever cherished.

FAIR HOUSING MONTH

WHEREAS, the month of April is known around the country as Fair Housing Month; and

WHEREAS, April 2013 marks the 45th anniversary of the federal Fair Housing Act; and

WHEREAS, the Fair Housing Act was intended to end discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of housing based on race, religion, national origin and sex at a time when African Americans, Latinos, and other minorities, including the families of American soldiers who fought and died in Vietnam, were often denied housing choice in certain areas; and

WHEREAS, during that time, persons who objected to housing discrimination were often met with resistance, hostility, and even violence; and

WHEREAS, the Honorable Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the fight for fair housing since the Summer of 1966, when he marched with residents to demand fair housing in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, the Fair Housing Act was the subject of a contentious debate in the Senate, but was passed quickly by the House of Representatives after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, and President Lyndon B. Johnson signed it into law on April 11, 1968; and

WHEREAS, despite this landmark legislation, housing remained segregated in many areas of the United States for decades; and

WHEREAS, the inability of minorities to secure housing in opportunity areas perpetuated the growth of inner city communities plagued by high unemployment, crime, and other social ills; and

WHEREAS, subsequent efforts to address these social ills have been and continue to be necessary; and

WHEREAS, Cook County’s own Human Rights Ordinance prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, color, sex, age, religion, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military discharge status, gender identity, or housing status, with limited exceptions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners recognizes the importance of fair housing, and declares April as Fair Housing Month to honor the achievements and ongoing commitment of individuals and coalitions that work to better our society by advocating for fair housing on behalf of all people.

WHEREAS, Colby Burnett distinguished himself as a student at Fenwick High School in Oak Park; and

WHEREAS, Colby Burnett graduated from Northwestern University where he majored in history and political science; and WHEREAS, Colby Burnett has returned to Fenwick’s where he teaches AP world history, Latin American history, and Asian history; and

WHEREAS, Colby Burnett also coaches Fenwick’s scholastic bowl team, which has cheered him on throughout the tournament; and

WHEREAS, Burnett initially won $100,000 in the “Jeopardy!” Teachers’ Tournament, defeating 15 top educators from across the country; and

WHEREAS, Burnett pledged to give his winnings to his mother, Wilma, in appreciation of her hard work putting him through school over the years; and

WHEREAS, Colby Burnett has fulfilled his pledge; and

WHEREAS, in February of 2013 Burnett further distinguished himself by winning the $250,000 grand prize in “Jeopardy’s” highly competitive Tournament of Champions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and Board of Commissioners of Cook County congratulate Colby Burnett for his significant achievements; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President and Board of Commissioners of Cook County wish Colby Burnett all the best in his future endeavors.

HONORING IRVANA WILKS

WHEREAS, Mount Prospect Mayor Irvana Wilks is retiring after serving in different roles for more than a quarter century; and

WHEREAS, Irvana has been a resident of Mount Prospect since 1969, and she immediately started volunteering and became active in local Republican organizations; and

WHEREAS, prior to being elected to office, Irvana served on many boards and commissions ,she was appointed by former Mayor Krause to serve on the Mount Prospect Business District and Redevelopment Commission, which she served five years; and

WHEREAS, in 1979, she was appointed to the Cook County Economic Advisory Committee, which she served fifteen years; and

WHEREAS, Irvana was first elected to office as a Village Trustee in 1991, which she served until she was elected to Mayor in 2005 and was re-elected to her second term in 2009; and

WHEREAS, there have been numerous accomplishments under Irvana’s tenure as Mayor, including the Levee 37 flood control project under the Des Plaines River, the transformation of Randhurst Mall, from an indoor mall into an open –air retail center and Myers Place, a supportive-housing development for people with mental illness; and

WHEREAS, Irvana is also active with the Barrington Women’s Writers Club, she has several writing projects that she is looking forward to working on during her retirement; and

NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the members of the Board of Commissioners of Cook County recognize Irvana Wilks years of dedicated service; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of the Resolution be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body and that a copy of the same be tendered over to Irvana Wilks.

WHEREAS, Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom has called Katie Jackson-Booker from our midst; and

WHEREAS, the exuberant moral life of Katie Bell Green began on September 7, 1941 in Natchez, Mississippi as the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Russell Green; and

WHEREAS, Katie spent her early years in Mississippi and attended Mississippi Valley State and Alcon University; and

WHEREAS, in June of 1958 Katie married Fred Jackson, Jr; this union was blessed with four children; Bobby V., Kelvin Trent, Gregory Terrald, Marrion Bobra and one stepdaughter, Sheila Diane; and

WHEREAS, in December of 1978 Katie married Melvin Booker and remained married until his passing in December 2012, through this union she became stepmother to his three children: Melvin Jr., Reginald, and Marsha; and

WHEREAS, Katie was raised as a Christian from childhood and was an inaugural member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Harvey, Illinois; and WHEREAS, Katie’s professional experience included 37 years of service in positions of increasing responsibility for the Cook County Health System culminating in the position of Hospital Health Administrator at the time of her retirement in 2010. After retirement, she continued working with civic organizations such as Roseland Cease Fire, Chicago Public Schools Safe Passage Program, and Nehemiah Restoration Coalition; and

WHEREAS, Katie’s first became active in community affairs by leading a cause for a new traffic light to improve safety for the children in the West Harvey/Dixmoor School District. She was active in community groups such as Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) council at Oak Forest Hospital. She became an active member of the Thornton Township Regular Democratic Organization and participated in its annual Thanksgiving Dinner every year. In 2011, she was named on their “Women of the Year” along with other distinguished women including Attorney General Lisa Madigan and Cook County Commissioner Deborah Sims; and

WHEREAS, in 1971, Katie was elected to the Board of Education for West Harvey/Dixmoor School District 147 and served for over 40 years. She also served as a Trustee of South Suburban College District 510 for the last 19 years; and

WHEREAS, throughout her exceptional life, Katie received numerous awards and recognitions. Last year, Vail Street in Harvey, Illinois was renamed in her honor. She was an Eastern Star member of the St. John Lodge Queen of Sheba Chapter. Her legacy is one of service and is exemplified in the lives of her children, associates, and protégés.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Cook County Board President Tony Preckwinkle, and the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, do hereby offer our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Katie Jackson- Booker.

RECOGNIZING MAY 1, 2013 AS NATIONAL LAW DAY

WHEREAS, Law Day is a national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law. Law Day underscores how law and the legal process contribute to the freedoms that all Americans share. Law Day also provides an opportunity to recognize the role of courts in this democracy and the importance of jury service to maintaining the integrity of the courts; and

WHEREAS, Law Day has its origin in 1957, when American Bar Association (ABA) President Charles S. Rhyne envisioned a special day for celebrating our legal system; and

WHEREAS, on February 3, 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower established Law Day by issuing a Proclamation proclaiming it "fitting that the people of this Nation should remember with pride and vigilantly guard the great heritage of liberty, justice, and equality under law which our forefathers bequeathed to us." Every President, since President Eisenhower, has issued an annual Law Day Proclamation; and

WHEREAS, on April 7, 1961, Congress passed a Joint Resolution, designating May 1 as Law Day. The theme of the 2013 Law Day is” Realizing the Dream: Equality for All”; and

WHEREAS, this year marks the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation. In 1963, during the Proclamation’s centennial, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood in front of the Lincoln Memorial and called upon our nation to live up to the great promise, enshrined in its founding documents, of equality for all; and

WHEREAS, five decades later, the inspirational words of Rev. Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech continue to resonate and challenge us to live up to our national ideal of equality under the law. The legacy of the Civil Rights Movement can be seen in the strides that have been made against discrimination based on race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, disability, and sexual orientation; and

WHEREAS, Law Day, May 1, 2013, will provide an opportunity to explore the movement for civil and human rights in America and the impact it has had in promoting the ideal of equality under the law. It will provide a forum for reflecting on the work that remains to be done in rectifying injustice, eliminating all forms of discrimination, and putting an end to human trafficking and other violations of our basic human rights. As Rev. Dr. King pointed out in his Letter from a Birmingham Jail, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby recognize May 1, 2013 as National Law Day and its theme of “Realizing the Dream: Equality for All.”

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Cook County Law Library will be celebrating Law Day with various programs focused on our national ideal of equality under the law.

RECOGNIZE THE WEEK OF MAY 6, 2013 AS “HEALTH CARE WORKER APPRECIATION WEEK IN COOK COUNTY

WHEREAS, the individuals who comprise the health care organizations in Cook County are dedicated to providing quality care for their communities; and

WHEREAS, each member of the health care team – nurses, allied health professionals, support staff, financial services personnel, administration, physicians and volunteers – serves as a vital component in providing the very best health care available; and

WHEREAS, in order for communities throughout Cook County to thrive, talented and conscientious health care workers and organizations are absolutely necessary; and

WHEREAS, the collective contribution of health care professionals strengthens the very social fabric of the communities in Cook County; and

WHEREAS, health care work is some of the most strenuous and sophisticated work being provided to communities today in Cook County; and

WHEREAS, health care work requires strength, compassion and humanity from those individuals providing it; and

WHEREAS, to an extent, the quality of a society is measured by the quality of its health care; the quality of health care provided by health care providers and organizations throughout Cook County is outstanding; and

WHEREAS, the Cook County community of health care organizations and hospitals wishes to express its sincere appreciation to its health care workers for their unwavering commitment to providing the best health care possible.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, does hereby recognize the week of May 6, 2013 as “Health Care Worker Appreciation Week in Cook County,” and does express its gratitude to all the heath care workers who continue to contribute to the wellness of those who live in our County.

NATIONAL REBUILDING DAY

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago (formerly known as Christmas in April), a volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income homes and communities, repaired its first home in 1992 in suburban Cook County, and has rehabilitated more than 1,200 homes; and

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago is part of a national nonprofit program, which sponsors National Rebuilding Day across the country and on the last Saturday in April; and

WHEREAS, every year, we select a different neighborhood in Cook County in which to provide home repair for elderly, disabled, or low income individuals; and

WHEREAS, this year on Saturday, April 27th, low income homeowners will receive much needed aid as part of National Rebuilding Day 2013; and

WHEREAS, last year more than 3,100 volunteers donated their time and talents to plan and complete hundreds of free home repairs for residents in Cook County. The work completed on National Rebuilding Day in 67 homes and in 3 nonprofit community facilities and on one landscape project was accomplished by Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago volunteer teams, including Cook County employees; and

WHEREAS, this year’s event will take place in the Chicago neighborhood of West Englewood, and in south suburban Harvey; and

WHEREAS, repairs focus on keeping homeowners “warm, safe and dry” and also improve access for low-income seniors, veterans and people with disabilities; and

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago is an example of Cook County and City governments working in partnership with private corporations to assist residents and communities in need; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, do hereby recognize and express Cook County’s sincere gratitude to Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago and its participating companies, as we work together to restore homes to a warm, safe, and dry condition; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners acknowledge April 27, 2013 as National Rebuilding Day in Cook County and, in turn, help to preserve the foundations of our neighborhoods; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution be presented to Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago in acknowledgement of its past accomplishments and to a successful upcoming rebuilding day.

RECOGNIZING MATTHEW JAMES POCZATEK’S ACHIEVEMENT AS AN EAGLE SCOUT

WHEREAS, Matthew James Poczatek, having completed the requirements for and having been examined by the Eagle Scout Board of Review, was found worthy of the rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Matthew James Poczatek, having led 40 volunteers on a 3 day project to restore access to a pond located near the Campenelli YMCA in Schaumburg, successfully accomplished his Scout Leadership Project; and

WHEREAS, with the help of Boy Scout Troop 496 from St. Matthew’s Church in Schaumburg, Matthew James Poczatek removed over 500 pounds of debris from the pond and adjoining area; and WHEREAS, Matthew James Poczatek led the effort to clear a quarter mile path allowing public access to the pond, removing over 90 cubic yards of invasive plants and trees; and

WHEREAS, the mulch from the removed trees was replaced as an organic bed for the quarter mile path, allowing the YMCA to utilize this untapped resource as a nature learning center; and

WHEREAS, Matthew James Poczatek’s efforts in this successful endeavor represented one of the steps toward earning his Eagle Scout Award presented by the Boys Scouts of America

WHEREAS, only 4 Boy Scouts out of 100 achieve the rank of Eagle Scout and is the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America; and

WHEREAS, some notable Eagle Scouts include astronaut Neil Armstrong, former President Gerald R. Ford, and film director Steven Spielberg; and

WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop 496 is very proud of Matthew James Poczatek’s achievement; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, that the Board offers its congratulations to Matthew James Poczatek on his achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout, and wishes him well; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of same be tendered to Matthew James Poczatek, so that his achievement will be forever remembered.

WHEREAS, in 1993 Arlene J. Mulder was first elected Mayor of the Village of Arlington Heights and has served the Village with her strong leadership for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, in her long and prestigious tenure, Arlene J. Mulder guided the Village of Arlington Heights through its operations and helped maintain a strong and steady growth; and

WHEREAS, Arlene J. Mulder championed the village’s downtown revitalization and oversaw the addition of the Performing Arts Centre, a shopping center, and many infrastructure improvements; and

WHEREAS, under the direction of Mayor Arlene J. Mulder the Village of Arlington Heights received several prestigious awards recognizing the village for its forward thinking planning including the Daniel Burnham Award for Excellence in Planning from the Metropolitan Planning Council and the James C. Howland Gold Award from the National League of Cities; and

WHEREAS, Arlene J. Mulder dedicated her time to strengthening her community and the entire Chicago metropolitan region by serving on numerous committees, boards and commissions; and

WHEREAS, Arlene J. Mulder served on the Metra Board of Directors, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and the US Council of Mayors and many other local and regional civic organizations too numerous to mention; and

WHEREAS, Arlene J. Mulder will be retiring in May, 2013 from her duties as Mayor of the Village of Arlington Heights; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby congratulate the Honorable Arlene J. Mulder, Mayor on her prestigious career and service to the residents of Arlington Heights and the entire Chicago region; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ebert reviewed movies for the Sun Times for 46 years; these reviews were syndicated in hundreds of newspapers worldwide; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ebert reviewed movies on television for 31 years; Mr. Ebert created the “two thumbs up” gesture for his television shows, a gesture that became ubiquitous in popular culture; and

WHEREAS, known to be a work horse, Mr. Ebert reviewed as many as 300 movies each year; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ebert was the first film critic ever to win the prestigious Pulitzer Prize, and his name was added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ebert also wrote a number of books on the topic of film as well as a well-received autobiography, “Life Itself”; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ebert wrote for the movie industry, including a film about the seminal punk rock band, the Sex Pistols, in the 1970s.

WHEREAS, the great love of Mr. Ebert’s life was his devoted wife, Chaz Ebert, who stood by him and nursed him through his illnesses and through his final days.

WHEREAS, Mr. Ebert leaves to mourn his wife, Chaz Ebert, stepchildren Sonia and Jay, and grandchildren Raven, Emil, Mark and Joseph.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and Board of Commissioners of Cook County offer their deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family and many friends of Roger Ebert, and join them in sorrow at this time of loss.

WHEREAS, the mission of the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago is to perpetuate the traditional dance, music, song, dress, and history of Mexico, to increase the Mexican community’s knowledge and the public’s awareness of such heritage; and

WHEREAS, the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago has become one of the most highly regarded and awarded cultural institutions in the Midwest because of its contributions and promotion of traditional Mexican culture and history through its performances; and

WHEREAS, the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago has performed before U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan and William Jefferson Clinton; Illinois Governor James Thompson; Chicago Mayors Jane Byrne, Harold Washington and Richard M. Daley; and Mexican President Vicente Fox; and

WHEREAS, the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago has toured and performed extensively, including at the Pan Am Games in Indianapolis, the World Cup Opening Ceremony in Chicago, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington D.C., and throughout Mexico and Ireland; and

WHEREAS, the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago has performed with many Mexican artists, including Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mariachi Cobre, Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, Pepe Aguilar, Ana Bárbara, Graciela Beltrán, and Juan Gabriel.

WHEREAS John Horodecki first came to work in in public service at the age of 17, as a Precinct Captain for what was then the 26th Ward, and

WHEREAS in the course of his long career in public life, John Horodecki was recognized for his loyalty, his capabilities, and his dedication to his fellow man while upholding the highest personal principals, and

WHEREAS John Horodecki was fondly known as the unofficial “Mayor of Ukrainian Village” and was known as a man who was always available to help those in need of assistance, and

WHEREAS John Horodecki was an inspiration for his colleagues, and left behind a legacy of achievement for all those who aspire to careers in government and public service, and who seek solutions to the challenges faced by our society is these difficult times, and

WHEREAS during the course of his stellar career, John Horodecki experienced triumphs both great and small, and through it all he performed his various leadership roles with a professionalism and commitment to community service which exemplifies excellence in the public sector, and

WHEREAS the memory of John Horodecki and his life’s work will be known to future generations, and was duly symbolized at a dedication ceremony on April 6th, 2013, when a street in John’s beloved Ukrainian Village was re-named “Honorary John J. Horodecki Way” by Act of the Chicago City Council, now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, that the Board does hereby join the Chicago City Council in honoring the memory of John Horodecki and offering a tribute to his legacy of lifelong community service, and
