And during his last month of life, probably the greatest witness that my Dad gave to me was his grateful heart. Time and again he expressed his gratitude for the smallest kindnesses that people showed to him. As he was surrounded by the love of his family, I think that deep sense of gratitude gave him great peace in his final days. So, building on the lessons that my parents taught me, as your pastor I want to express my appreciation to all those of you who are giving generously and sacrificially of your God-given giftedness in service to our faith community.
