THE 2014 DIRECTORY of the RULING GOVERNMENT in BULGARIA, ITS DISTRICTS GOVERNORS, the MAYORS of ITS CAPITALS and the REPRESENTATION ABROAD Updated Until March 2014 THE 2014 DIRECTORY OF THE RULING GOVERNMENT IN BULGARIA, ITS DISTRICTS GOVERNORS, THE MAYORS OF ITS CAPITALS AND THE REPRESENTATION ABROAD updated until march 2014 General elections of a new parliament in Bulgaria have been held on May 12th 2013. The results were that the number of parliamentarians in the former leading party GERB (which stands for Citizens for an European Development of Bulgaria) declined from 117 to 97 persons, whereas the number of socialists (BSP) more than doubled to 84 parliamentarians and the Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedom (DPS) consolidated its position with 36 members. As the latter parties were not eager to negotiate with GERB, they decided to explore a coalition. In a very short time they succeeded - with the help of the 23 members of the party Ataka. This “business- government” (table 1) replaced the previous interim one; not any of the latter persons prolonged its position. As a result only a few ministers do have a political experience . It is remarkable that eight of them were a professor (in table 1 marked as p) or an university teacher (t). Many of the deputy ministers who - after a provisional filling in spring - have been appointed in June 2013 (table 2) also don’t have political experience. Unfortunately the information in this table is not complete, as there have been a lot of differences in the enumerations which have been published in the past months. Moreover there is still a frequent turn-over. In table 3 are presented the ruling governors of the districts, who have replaced the since spring temporarily acting functionaries. In table 4 is given a survey of the mayors in the provincial capitals, elected in 2011. Table 5 finally presents the formal Bulgarian representation by sixty ambassadors in the world. Table 1. The traps showed very high efficiency in both cases of high and low population level of the pest. Significant catches of T. hirta were recorded in Dryanovo, Karnobat, Knezha, Kyustendil, Petrich and Plovdiv. As a whole the beetles appeared in the very end of March – beginning of April and reached their peak flight in the second half of April – beginning of May; catches were recorded up to the middle of July. The bait/traps system used in our field work showed very high species selectivity. In nine out of ten cases the catches of T.

Petrovska*, V. Valkova Maize Research Institute, 5835 Knezha, Bulgaria (Manuscript received 14 May 2018; accepted for publication 14 September 2018) Abstract. The article presents the biological and morphological parameters of the new grain maize hybrid from middle early group. The hybrid is acknowledged in 2017, after three years of testing in the territorial station at Executive Agency of Variety Testing, Field Inspection and Seed Control (EAVTFISC) with standard American hybrid P 9494 and Knezha 435, a widespread Bulgarian hybrid. During the period of testing under conditions without irrigation in the experimental field of the Maize Research Institute – town of Knezha the three years average of the new hybrid exceeded the standard P 9494 by 7.4%, and Knezha 435 by 8.6%. In the ecological network of the country in 2011, under conditions without irrigation, the hybrid produced grain yield 2.6% above the foreign and 4.7% above the Bulgarian standard. In 2016 at EAVTFISC the Knezha 461 maize hybrid exceeded by average grain yield the P9494 standard by 1.5%. The testing was conducted at four points under non-irrigated conditions. The moisture content in the harvesting time is near to that of P9494 and lower than the moisture of Knezha 435.

Inst., HAS, Budapest, Hungary). These traps, offered for the pest species Tropinota (Epicometis) hirta (Poda, 1761), Oxythyrea funesta (Poda, 1761) and Cetonia aurata (Linnaeus, 1761) were used for detection and seasonal monitoring of the above mentioned pests in different regions of Bulgaria in 2009 and 2010. Besides the target species, the following species of the superfamily Scarabaeoidea were caught also: Protaetia (Netocia) cuprea (Fabricius, 1775) – in Troyan and, as single specimens, in Dryanovo, Knezha and Plovdiv; Valgus hemipterus (Linnaeus, 1758) – in Dryanovo, Gabrovo, Karnobat, Knezha, Kyustendil, Petrich, Plovdiv and Troyan; Blitopertha lineolata (Fischer von Waldhein, 1824) – in Dryanovo, and as single specimens in Karnobat and Kyustendil, and Anisoplia (Autanisoplia) austriaca (Herbst, 1783) - in Knezha. All these species, with the exception of P. cuprea and A. austriaca, were caught by means of the same traps, in orchards in the region of Sofia earlier.
