General Contest Rules (Attached) Apply, and All Decisions of 1240Am/107.5Fm WTAX Are Final 1240am/107.5fm WTAX CARDINAL TICKET WINDOW RULES Wherever the words 1240am/107.5fm WTAX/CAPITOL RADIO GROUP (including radio stations WYMG, WDBR, WQQL, WTAX, and WABZ) appear in these rules, they include the business entity to which the station is licensed, and any member companies, parent corporations, and affiliates; Saga Communications of Illinois, LLC and its sole member Saga Communications, Inc. Methodology: Beginning on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 and ending Friday, September 25, 2015, WTAX will run the Cardinal Ticket Window to give listeners a chance to win tickets to see the St. Louis Cardinals play at Busch Stadium. 1240am/107.5fm WTAX/CAPITOL RADIO GROUP will be giving away pairs of tickets to various Cardinals games (see list below). Listeners will be asked various times throughout the morning between the hours of 5:30 am and 9:00 am to call in. Everyone that the morning show host talks to during these times will be entered into a random drawing to determine the winner. The winner will be drawn randomly at 9:00am and will be announced at 9:05am. The winner will be called after the announcement is made to make sure they know they won the tickets. No purchase necessary. WTAX’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize and will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. The winner will be responsible for any applicable state and federal taxes. Prizes not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Qualifying/Grand Prize: 1240am/107.5fm WTAX/CAPITOL RADIO GROUP will award the following prize(s): All the tickets listed above will be given away on the appropriate dates. Each ticket has an approximate retail value of $62. Legal/Restrictions: All contestants must be 18 years or older and permanent residents of the state of Illinois and have a valid form of identification. All contestants must live or work in the 1240am/107.5fm WTAX listening area to be eligible to win. All 1240am/107.5fm WTAX General Contest Rules (attached) apply, and all decisions of 1240am/107.5fm WTAX are final. Rules Updated 3/18/2015 WTAX General Contest Rules These are the rules governing all contests aired on WTAX radio and on the wtax.com website, unless otherwise specified. In the following rules, “WTAX” means Saga Communications of IL, Inc., dba Capitol Radio Group and its parent corporation, Saga Communications, Inc., which owns WTAX radio: 1. No purchase is necessary to enter any WTAX contest. 2. To be eligible to win any prize on WTAX you must not have won anything on WTAX in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. 3. Anytime you call the WTAX studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast. 4. As a winner of a WTAX contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you. 5. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. WTAX reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value. 6. All winners of all contests are responsible for all taxes on prize awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the WTAX studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600. 7. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), WTAX’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (WTAX) awarding the prize to the winner. WTAX shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. WTAX shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto. 8. All WTAX contests are open to all eligible Columbus residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified). Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to WTAX that will be presented to WTAX and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of WTAX, it's advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WTAX main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. 9. Winners will be expected to claim prize at the WTAX studios, 3501 East Sangamon Avenue, Springfield, Illinois 62707, between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) within 30 days of being notified that they are winners, unless there is an expiration date on prize, which will be specifically stated. 10. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Contest is void where prohibited. 11. WTAX reserves the right to disqualify any winner if any contest rules are violated in any way. 12. WTAX assumes no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. WTAX, its advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each absolve themselves and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest. 13. As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, WTAX reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of WTAX management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant. 14. WTAX reserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. WTAX's decision is always final. 15. For any contest requiring phone entry you must use only the following number unless otherwise specified: (217) 753-1240. For texting it is 77000. The person operating the telephone at WTAX has the final decision as to who is the winning caller. 16. WTAX shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, or internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond WTAX’s control. 17. For any contest involving on-line voting: If an entrant receives irregular votes, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means, WTAX reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winner(s), ex. – random selection or appointing a panel of judges. 18. The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on wtax.com: A. All appropriate information in required fields must be filled out correctly and completely or you will be disqualified.

Each and every one of our radio stations has a created personality that requires ongoing care. That is one of the things that differentiates us from other radio companies.’’ We really care about the identity, ambiance, and mission of each and every station that belongs to Saga. We have radio stations that have been on the air for close to 100 years and we have radio stations that have been created just months ago.

This letter is supposed to be my turn to tell you about Saga, but this year is a little different because it involves other people telling you about Saga. The following is a letter sent to the staff at WNOR FM 99 in Norfolk, Virginia. Directly or indirectly, I have been a part of this station for 35+ years. Let me continue this train of thought for a moment or two longer. Saga, through its stockholders, owns WHMP AM and WRSI FM in Northampton, Massachusetts. Let me share an experience that recently occurred there. Our General Manager, Dave Musante, learned about a local grocery/deli called Serio’s that has operated in Northampton for over 70 years. The 3rd generation matriarch had passed over a year ago and her son and daughter were having some difficulties with the store. Dave’s staff came up with the idea of a ‘‘cash mob’’ and went on the air asking people in the community to go to Serio’s from 3 to 5PM on Wednesday and ‘‘buy something.’’ That’s it. Zero dollars to our station. It wasn’t for our benefit. Community outpouring was ‘‘just overwhelming and inspiring’’ and the owner was emotionally overwhelmed by the community outreach. As Dave Musante said in his letter to me, ‘‘It was the right thing to do.’’ Even the local newspaper (and local newspapers never recognize radio) made the story front page above the fold. Permit me to do one or two more examples and then we will get down to business.
