We have compiled this document to make it easier for you to find your way to MathCore as well as choosing an appropriate hotel. Please let us know if you lack any information.

2. Finding MathCore, hotels, bus stops, etc

MathCore is located in Science Park Mjärdevi in the west side of Linköping. In this map you can find the sites of interest, including: Wolfram MathCore Relevant bus stops

3. Accommodation

We recommend the following hotels. 3.1 Business hotels

If you prefer a business hotel we recommend Scandic Frimurarehotellet (Frimis). The hotel has an indoor pool and sauna, restaurant, pub, conference facilities, etc. Frimis is situated a mere 150 meters to the central station and 250 meters to the city center. Other options similar to Frimis include Clarion Hotell Slottsparken, Elite Stora Hotellet, and Scandic City, all located in the city center. If you prefer to be closer to Wolfram MathCore then you should choose Scandic Väst. It is located 2.5 km from the office, but has good bus connections to it. Finally, Quality Hotel The Box is very popular, but requires to change bus at the central station to get to MathCore. It is about 2.5 km from the city center. 3.2 Family hotel

If you prefer a smaller and cozier hotel, we recommend Park Hotel, Linköpings Fawlty Towers. The hotel is just in front of the central station and 300 meters to the city center.

4. Getting Here and Away

4.1 Local busses When travelling with local busses it is important to know that you cannot pay with cash or card on board. Instead you have to prepay at specific locations or pay with mobile phone by using their app (Android and iPhone). The app allows you to charge your credit card, however it requires an internet connection. Tickets can be bought at the local bus station, but also at other places. To go to MathCore you should take bus 12 towards Lambohov and stop at Forskningsbyn. The 15 minutes journey leaves every 10th minute during rush hours and every 20 minutes the rest of the day except for nights, see separate time schedule. 4.2 Train You can book train tickets from SJ. Most recommended hotels are at walking distance (about 5 minutes) from the train station. Taxis to MathCore should cost about 20€. The bus between the train station (Resecentrum) and MathCore is just as fast as the taxi and cheaper, about 2€. 4.3 Car When arriving to Linköping by car you will most likely arrive by the highway, E4. • Take exit 111 towards Linköping V, Vimmerby. This is the first exit when arriving from the south and the third from the north. • After 3.5 km take the exit towards Mjärdevi. • After 700 meters take to the left in the roundabout. • After 300 meters take to the left to Wallenbergs gata in the roundabout • When the road ends after 800 meters, take to the left on Teknikringen • After 300 meters turn right. Stop at the parking to the left. There is a free parking just in from of the Wolfram MathCore office. 4.4 Air If you fly with a Sky Team airline, then Linköping airport is typically a good option as it is operated by KLM. However, Norrköping, Stockholm Skavsra, Arlanda, and Copenhagen are also worth considering. 4.4.1 Linköping City Airport Linköping has a small airport, Linköping City Airport. KLM has a couple of flights per day to Schiphol Amsterdam (Good for Sky Team connections) and is normally the best option when travelling to Linköping. The nearest bus stop is 750 m away and communications are not that good, so taxi is recommended. The journey to the recommended hotels in the city center should cost approximately 15€, and to MathCore 20€. 4.4.2 Norrköping Airport Norrköping Airport, 40 minutes away from Linköping, has one flight per day with BMI to and from Munich.

Connection with public transportation is bad, instead Travel taxi (approximately 60€) is recommended. 4.4.3 Stockholm Skavsta Airport When flying with Ryan Air you will arrive to Stockholm Skavsta Airport. The airport coaches to Linköping costs approximately 30€ for the round-trip, but they do not depart that frequently, so you might have to wait an hour or two. You might consider taking the taxi to nearby Nyköping train station and take the train to Linköping. 4.4.4 Arlanda Airport, Stockholm The closest major airport is Arlanda airport. Train is recommended to get from Arlanda to Linköping and takes up to 3 hours. Search for connections between Arlanda C (note that there are two train stations at Arlanda) and Linköping C. If you prefer rental car the highway to Linköping (follow highway E4 south) takes about the same time as the train. 4.5 Copenhagen Airport, Denmark Even though Linköping is located in Sweden, sometimes you might be better of flying to Copenhagen, Denmark. The train to Linköping takes approximately 3.5 hours. Search for connections between Köbenhavns Lufthavn/Kastrup and Linköping C.
