Top Global Aviation Leaders Set to Headline 28Th ACI EUROPE/World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition in Brussels Top global aviation leaders set to headline 28th ACI EUROPE/World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition in Brussels Leading industry CEO speakers include Brussels Airport Company, Airports Company South Africa, Munich Airport, Norwegian Airlines, Lufthansa, Airport Authority Hong Kong Montreal & Brussels, 8 May 2018 – A compelling lineup of top airport and aviation industry CEOs has been assembled to headline the Airports Council International (ACI) World and ACI EUROPE annual conference to be hosted by Brussels Airport, from 18- 20 June. Registration for the conference is now open. This year’s conference theme is “Airports as Brands and Businesses” and aims to address to the consequences of the ongoing evolution of the airport industry into companies building brand relationships with air travellers. The event will also expose the challenges facing the aviation industry to respond to the increasing need for additional airport capacity to accommodate the growth in the global demand for air services. Conference attendees will hear and discuss how leaders in the industry plan to meet this demand so as to enable communities around the world to reap the vital economic and social benefits that aviation brings. And how will airports do this while achieving the utmost in environmental stewardship, customer service and remain financially viable? Using an instrumental qualitative case study research design, this paper examines the evolution of sustainable aviation fuels at Oslo Airport Gardermoen. Oslo Airport Gardermoen was the first airport in the world to offer the first airport in the world to offer aviation biofuels to all airlines in 2016. The qualitative data were examined by document analysis. The study found that the use of sustainable aviation biofuels has delivered tangible environmental benefits to Oslo Gardermoen Airport. The usage of aviation biofuels has enabled the airport, and the airlines using sustainable aviation biofuels, to reduce their greenhouse gases by 10-15%. Also, as part of Norway’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Norwegian Government have mandated that the aviation fuel industry must mix 0.5% advanced biofuel into jet fuel from 2020 onwards.

Year round service begins February 20, 2020 Capacity increases to daily service in the summer 2020 schedule February 20, 2020, New York, NY – Today, Brussels Airlines launched year-round flights to and from Washington, DC to Brussels, Belgium. The new service increases the air carrier’s capacity on this important route from a seasonal flight to year-round service. Traveling four times per week, Brussels Airlines flight SN515 will depart from Brussels at 10:15 am with an A330-200 aircraft. It will arrive in DC at 01:00 pm. The return flight, SN516, will depart from Dulles International Airport at 06:10 pm and arrive in Brussels at 07:45 am on the following day. All times are local. Beginning March 29, 2020, Belgium’s home air carrier will increase the frequency of its Washington, DC route to a daily operation. The daily service will also be operated with an Airbus 330-200 aircraft that consists of a seat configuration of 22 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy Class seats and 212 Economy Class seats. Holsby is situated in the community of Holsbybrunn, about eight kilometers outside the city of Vetlanda. We offer shuttle pick-up from the train/bus station in Vetlanda. We do not offer airport pickups. All travelers requiring pickup from Vetlanda must notify the school of the time of their arrival in Vetlanda. Directions If you are arriving from outside Europe, the best airport destinations are Stockholm (Sweden) or Copenhagen (Denmark). From here you will have to take a train or bus to Vetlanda. When booking flights, find one arriving no later than 14:00 (2 p.m.). If you arrive after 15:00 (3 p.m.) you may miss the last train of the day to Vetlanda and will have to spend the night. The same is true when leaving Holsby. Don’t make flight reservations for any earlier than 12 noon. Early afternoon is recommended.
